You poor dear! I am so thankful to the Lord that you and your family are okay, but You must have been miserable all day. Wish you would have had my # to call me...I am only about 20 miles north of there. I would have come and picked you up (if I could have got thru with all the high water)  Let us all know about your vehicles and all!!!!

Hi Everyone,   I hope everyone is doing well this morning, I will be as soon as I get all my stuff done. LOL I bought a set of bunkbed's from a friend of mine for the girl's after our remodel (can't wait to get that started and FINISHED lol). I know the girl's are abit big for bunk beds and neither one of them much like the idea, but there's not alot of space in their room, so they will just have to get use to it.  I still haven't started a dish for the cookout this afternoon, my dad keep's saying not to bring anything so that might be just what I do, all though I hate going empty handed.  My puppies will be huge. Frito is a big girl and then all the dog's that decided to live at my house for 2 week's were even bigger........yes they are mut's. (Like I'm going to have a dog that make's me money hehehe) No charge for any of them and no limit on how many you take lol.... They are 3 week's old yesterday.  Jan it's so great to be back on. I still don't have yahoo messenger up and running, but hopefully come Monday it will be. My friend is downloading it on to a disc for me, so hopefully all I have to do is pop it in.  I'm still surprised mobar got me in as fast as they did, and also very thankful. I can hardly wait to get started. I'm doing samples of all the different drink's now.  Janet honey it is so great to hear from you, I will do my best to get you and email out tonight or tomorrow it really depend's on what time we get back today. My mom and dad who never go out for any reason want the girl's and I to go to a big cookout and jam session (these guy's have been playing together off and on for the past 40 years), so we cleared off our Sunday to make it a point to go with them. I hope they keep doing thing's like this or at least start going fishing with us.  I called you yesterday on my house phone, I think I gave you my cell a long time ago not sure really so let me know if you don't have it. I do text. LOL  Well ya'll I need to get this party started for the day, so I hope everyone has a great day. Love and Hug's
Renee

If He bring's you to it.... He will bring you through it.

Hello Jan and all MO peeps, Well here I am on day 7 of my liquid diet. I tell you I just thought I was not going to make it the first few days. The turning point came yesterday when I went to a BBQ that my daughter was having for my grandson(who is returning to Iraq for 14 months in Sept. Please keep him in your prayers he is only 20 yrs old, shouldn't have to see things like he has seen this early in life) it was really hard seeing everyone eat that wonderful bbq and having to drink my slimfast but I just kept saying it will be worth it, it will be worth it..lol..I hope you all are right, will I ever be able to eat bbq again. My son is having his annual fish fry/bbq on the 4th I think that one will be hard (besides fried chicken, fried fish is my favorite) also but I am not going to let it keep me from enjoying friends and family. The good news is I have lost ll lbs so far on the liquid diet and 30 lbs from when I attended my first seminar last june. 2 more lbs and I will be in the 200's. Haven't been there for about 5 yrs or better... I am really getting so nervous, I try to talk myself out of this everyday. This surgery is all I think about. When I wake up in the morning its like oh my god 7 more days and that is when my eyes pop open. Can't think of anything else. Is that normal or am I just freaking out... When I was at my class the RN,  Portia that talked to us said that flintstone vitamins were not good enough for wls patients  she really stressed taking vitamins specifically made for wls patients. I know they are expensive and I have been taking walmart brand vitamins but I want to do the best for my health. Let me hear from you longer post op patients. Jan I know that your labs turns out good. what do you take.. Thank you so much Janet for being my angel. I haven't been in touch with you lately. I have been watching my grandchildren for my daughter while she works and she is an RN and this is her 7th 12 hr day. She is worn out and so am I. By the time I get home I just don't feel like doing anything.  Thank goodness she is off for the next 8 days on vac. and then I have my surgery and won't be able to do much for a week or so. besides walk and sip lol.... Bec I didn't know you lived around Sedalia, I some how got it in my head that you live in Springfield.   I was looking at some of the pics someone posted about the picnic and you guys were right in front of me. At one point my daughter and I got out and sat at  the picnic table there by the restrooms and you all were not far from the playground where my grandkids were playing..darn darn darn, I just didn't recognise anyone. Wished I would have sent my daughter to ask. Oh well maybe I can get to Branson would love to come in Sept.... Well guess I had better get off here. Hope everyone has a great Sunday... btw the other night when it was raining and lightening so bad, the lightening hit the house one up from me. glad it didn't do much damage but there were 3 firetrucks and lots of police cars around my house for awhile. When the lightening hit I just about came straight out of my chair. Scared the bejeepers out of me....lol

Hi Bev, I can see how you would think that... I have relatives that live in Springfield and have talked about that here on the board and I have been to  some of the support group meetings down there too. I was born and raised in Sedalia. I now live just two miles south of Marshall Junction a quarter mile off Hwy 65. (about 17 miles)  My husband and I built a house here in '02.  I'm in town often for errands and all of my family live just south of town. I am so excited for you... I've kept up with your progress all this time and am praying that you will have as easy a time as some of the others on here have had!  I know it was very hard for you to stop smoking and I think it's just great how far you have come already.  It will be so very neat to see you post that you are feeling so good and able to do so much more with your loved ones. I'm sure glad your house was not hurt in the storm. Would be fun to get together and chat sometime. bec

Hi, Jan & MO Peeps! Wow, I can't believe it's almost 10pm!  We had church this morning then a VBS meeting.  VBS starts two weeks from tonight.  I am co-teaching 1 & 2nd graders with a friend of mine from church.  I will teach 3 days and she will teach the other 2.  Makes it a lot easier when there's two of you.  Last year we had 75 kids.  We are planning on 100 this year.  My class was 20 last year.  My little room can't handle many more than that! Jan - dh's company picnic was a lot of fun.  They had a huge blow up slide and bouncy things for Kameron and he loved every minute of it.  We had a good lunch and visted for a couple hours and came home.  It was a pretty day here yesterday and it was beautiful today.  Had a nice breeze today.  I will try and get your "surprise" mailed to you sometime this week.  When I saw it I immediately thought of you!  Hope you like it!  I really wish you would have taken before pics of the rental house.  Can only imagine how bad it was....sounds really bad when you describe it.  You should take some pics when it's all done so we can see how pretty it is now!  I know you and Joe both will be glad when it's all done.  I'm glad to hear there was no damage to the house from the tree.  Did you get the tree off your shed?  Hope there's not too much damage there. Janet - Luke went to Japan this summer.  He wants to go back and spend the entire summer on a mission trip next summer.  We will see where the Lord leads him.  It is exciting to see him beginning to see what the Lord really wants from him. Sheila - I'm so glad you're home safe and sound!  What a horrifying experience that must have been!  Is Galena in Missouri?  That's where you were camping when they had to come in by boats to get you?  Whew....scarry! The rest of the MO Board - each and every one of you are very special!  I hope everyone has a great week and please remember Cassie in your prayers. Debbie D.
