CASSIE HAS ANOTHER SET-BACK

Last night Cassie developed a fever, tests showed she had an a abcess.  She had to have a drain put in.  She also has an infection in her incision site.  She is on IV antibiotics for both infections.  She is having a lot of pain at the drain site.  Please keep her in your prayers.  Thanks,  Deb

Oh my goodness!  That poor poor lady!  I'm so sorry once again to hear she has had more problems...  we will continue to pray for a full recovery, with the least amount of pain and problems possible! Thanks for keeping us posted. bec

Please tell Cassie that I know exactly what she is going thru and am praying for her recovery. I too had a abcess and getting the drain put in was excruciating. Of course I was in bad health at the time anyway...but it isnt any fun!

Man, I feel so sad for her. She will stay in my prayers along with her family. Thanks for keeping us all informed.

Thank you Deb for keeping us all posted on Cassie.  I spoke to Cassie late this afternoon.  She sounded weak, but said that she was upset and wanted to go home.  She has been in the hospital since June 23rd.  She reiterated her 3 surgeries in 5 days.  I asked her about her fluid intake and she was able to take in more fluids and keep them down. She was shocked that the hospital does not have high-protein shakes or drinks for the post-surgical bariatric patients.  Her husband had to bring some in from home for her to consume!  What's up with that?  Here the hospital wants to support a bariatric surgery practice but does not have the proper nutrients for the patient to take!  What they were bringing her was broth and none of the items had a lot of protein content.  I told her she needed to talk to someone about that and to make sure she noted it when she receives her survey on her hospital stay.  Even Dr. Price was surprised.  She's been so ill, one major issue after another, and just wants to be home and get better.  Let's all pray for her to get beyond this and to recover quickly.  Donna
