I need help and suggestions
Hey All,
I really need some advise and some encouragment. I have been going back and forth from 276-273 lbs since June 19th. Almost four weeks. I can't get it to move. Is it posible that I have stopped losing weight already? I am only a little less than half way to where I want to be!!!
I know part of my problem is that I have determand that nothing bothers me. Pasta, bread, SUGAR, and now I am back to the same old thing of not having enough will power to not eat them. I try real hard but some times I do. But I still don't eat hardly anything at all, so I should still be losing?
Please help me get back on track. I don't know what to do and I am getting very depressed over it.
Thank-you everyone and Take Care and God Bless, Tammy V.
No you havent lost all you can lose, get back to basics for a week or two leave all the junk alone. they operated on your stomach not your head so we still have all those old demons there but you will have to defeat them.
now then you need at least 80 grams of protein ISOLAtes either in powder form made into drinks or something like Isopure that is already mixed. then you have to have at least 64 oz of water a day. If you are getting all of that in there isnt a lot more room for junk.
what you do eat make sure it is protein. not junk food.
you can do it . this surgery only gives you the tool to make a complete change in your lifestyle. sometimes the family has to change what they eat too.
I know my husband doesnt get junk much anymore. only potatoes and gravy and biscuits about once a month. most of his food any more is meat and green veggies . so that if i eat some of it it is good for me. IF you are craving sweets use fruit instead of sugar free things. the carbs and sweets in that dont hurt anything.
not knowing exactly what you are eating and how much it is hard to help too much ,,,,but up that protein and water and what are you doing for exercise? if you do all of this i bet you will start losing again.
it is never too laate but you need to do it now while you are only about 6 months out. good luck.

Hi Tammy, Girl, you HAVENT stopped losing-your NOT even close to being done. Its simply a plateau and almost ALL of us will encounter that at one point in our journey. I had my first one at just over a month out-for 21 days!!! My next one came later-but it was over 2 months. Now-I have pretty much been bouncing within a few pounds back and forth for a couple of months.....(started out at 438# and Im at 178# now-20 months out) One thing that helps me-and I should tell you that I can eat full blown sugar-I CAN drink soda-I CAN eat candy bars etc and I dont dump on sugary stuff or carbs...BUT...for me, I like being able to have control over the crap that made my body retaliate against me in the first place~ THINK of how MISERABLE you were-you had the lifesaving WLS because YOU were tired of your life the way it was-right? NO WAY, NO HOW is ANYTHING going to taste good enough for you to be that miserable again, is it? I want you to know its OKAY to treat yourself once in awhile-I think everyone does-now what they treat themselves to-is up to them-BUT...ITS OKAY....BUT-IF its affecting you and what YOU WANT FOR YOURSELF-THEN stop and just think about you before-and you now-HOW are you happiest? You sure didnt go through the rollercoaster journey of WLS-to flu**** all down the toilet....You have had some major wow things going on-didnt you just get your college degree? (forgive me if it wasnt you-LOL)....I know I have seen your other posts and I know you have worked TOO HARD to let the carb monster CONTROL YOU-GRAB HIM BY THE HORNS AND KICK HIS *SS!!! Please keep us posted (if you dont hate me now or think I was too hard on you, I didnt mean it that way!!!) I will help in any way I can-just let me know-ok? You can do it honey-dont get discouraged...Plateaus are hard on us because we want to see that scale move constantly, we get spoiled with the rapid weight loss and We LOVE to see those numbers go down!!! Good luck and let me know if you need ANYTHING at all!!! Love, Janet
