Anyone had a revision? (long)
Hi all! I haven't posted in a few years. Usually just a lurker. I originally had Rny on Jan. 8,2005. Things weren't good from the start. Yes, I lost weight but had several ulcers. In Sept. of 2005, I had to have two ulcers removed. My pouch is so small now that if I have to have the ulcer removed that I have now, I will have to be tube fed for the rest of my life.
I originally went from 240 lbs. down to 130, lowest weight was 119. In the past 13 months, I have gained 40 lbs. I exercise and eat right, but to no avail. I have been reading on the revision board and from what I get from it is that my stoma is enlarged. I can eat a big mac and large fry before I feel full. NOT GOOD!
Has anyone had to have a revision from Rny to ERny or DS? Does anyone know of a surgeon in St. Louis that will take care of hernia and do revision? My original surgery was done by Dr. Daniel Fabito, *****tired a month and a half after my surgery. Dr. Chris Eagon did my second surgery and I really like him but I don't know if he will do a revision. I have heard that Dr. Scott will do revision but to what? Will he do it ERny or DS? I have medicare as my primary insurance so I don't think that there will be a problem getting approved. Any info would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Sheila
