5 days and counting until I begin a new me!!!

Hello all I thought I would update, it is just 5 days until my surgery and I am getting a wee bit nervous.  Why is it that the closer I get to the surgery the more scarry horror stories I hear?  I really wish I could just ignore them.  I try, but I do hear them.  The liquid diet is going good.  I even went to Ryans today to celebrate my nieces 1st birthday and did not eat a thing.  I drank tea and coffee.  I fee really proud, that was a very hard thing for me to do, I love the rolls!!  I am down 15 pounds so far just from the liquid diet.  I have noticed an increase in wicked loose stools!!! Sorry sounds gross but it is the truth.  I can not trust a toot now. LOL!!!  I am going to leave for Sedalia on Wed. afternoon and that is also the day I stop the Slim Fast and just drink clear liquids.  I guess the liquid diet is good preparation for the clear liquid part of my journey.  So do any of you have any advice for me at this time?  I am excited, scarred, nervous and happy all at the same time.  WOW so many feelings to deal with it can get overwhelming.  Well I must  go I need to check my other e-mail and andthen get ready for bed.  Good night all and I will post in the AM.

 kerri don't worry everything will go great for you i pray for that also anytime your on a liquid diet that loose stool thing seams to follow lol. i am glad though that you will be on the losers bench soon i hope to be there myself soon as i hear from the insurance. good luck  on your surgery and try not to be nervous think of it this way it is going to be a great thing that will happen to you and even better when the weight just melts away  yours truly cat

Thank you Cat and i am looking forward to beingon the loosers bench.  I hope you get Insurance approval and you will be on the bench soon too!!

Kerri there are so many more good stories than bad ones but just like a bad teen ager it can be made to sound like all of them are bad. it isnt so...
I wish you could get in on a support group it would be one of the best things you did for yourself. there you can talk all this sort of stuff out and everyone there has a different story ....
We all will be praying for you on Thurs.....with Dr. H. you have one of the best so dont worry ok.
and the loose stools are normal. the liquid diet  is to shrink the liver and it has probably done a good job. hang on you will be on the other side in a few days. we are all waiting for you.

EXCITING !!!! cant wait for you to join us here in loser land! You will be happy to be called a loser from here on out! Praying for great and healthy results!

This is for each of you who have sent me messages of support and love.  I really thank each and every one of you  and know I have found true friends here at OH the MO noard.  I am getting happy and excited today and I can't wait to get on with things.  I had a prayer said over me at my church today and that really makes me feel tons better.  I know the prayers will be there for me and i am greatly comforted for it.  Thank you again, only 4 days now!!

Keri!  Hi there!!  I'm thrilled for you and you're getting SO very close!!  I'll be thinking about you on the 31st and can't wait to hear how you're doing!  You know my number, so if you feel like it and need someone to talk to, just give me a ring......otherwise, I'll check in with you when you get home and settled in.  You are going to do just great!  Our prayers will be with you, as I remember this timeframe just a month ago and how I was feeling as well!  Yep, it's definitely a bit scary this close to the date, but the rewards that await you after your surgery is over, makes up for all the rest!  Best wishes to you!!  --Shelley

Shelley, thaank you so very much.  As a matter of fact I was going to call tomorrow evening.  I will have a guest over, it is a friend of the girls and I will need to talk to another adult.  I willhave some questions also, talk to you soon and hope to walk at Hobby Lobby too!!!
