WHATS HAPPENING FRIDAY
Man this week is flying by seems like , here it is already soon to be Friday, since im doing this on Thursday night.
Just got off the phone with Sugar. She said to tell you that they were all having a wonderful vacation and thanks for all the prayers for good weather , that it couldn’t have been better no matter what.
Said she is telling everyone they cant mention Saturday down there or they get yelled at. She doesn’t want to come home…Said to tell Bec congratulations. Her son took a laptop down with them and she has been reading and all on here but she cant get it to let her into her account , don’t know why tho…
Nothing much that I did today, straightened the house up some and did some laundry. Joe burned some limbs that had been down on the property. But that was about all for him too sort of a lazy day I guess ..
I did straighten my greenhouse some and did clean out a couple of flower beds. Need to get some big pots to dig up and put a few of my annuals in for the green house , they are just too pretty to let the cold get them…lantanas, coleus, and things like that. My geraniums I have saved them for about 4 years now. They are getting pretty big. …

Tomorrow I intend to spray the future garden area to kill the grass again ,,,or any that things it is going to grow there lol ….Hope to get it turned over soon. .
Then will have to spray it again. and try to get all of the roots.
Well am wondering how Renee and Lou did today in their classes. Hope they got to meet and had fun today. How neat is that that they met on here and having the same surgeon , same day surgery….i bet they will put them in as room mates if they ask.

That is too bad about the broken tail bone in more ways that one …Im like your doctor was really upset when I read how badly you were treated in the ER. You usually don’t fine the best doctor with good bedside manners there .
Sure didn’t know it was so hard to find a donut pillow…we could have gone and got you some dense foam and cut a hole in the center of it for less time lol .
Bec told me that she just started blubbering when you hugged her. She said she didn’t know what was wrong with her to do that. I told her that it was everything all at once and you sure didn’t think she was silly for sure.
Im so glad that you finally got to meet her. She is really sweet isnt she?
She is all excited about some of us coming up to KC to shop on the day that she goes back for her one month check up. She ask me tonight if I thought she would feel like shopping by then told her im sure she would be and we can all go find her some sass. Lol

Not me that has the gazelle, i would like to have one to do some more exercise on for this winter . I have the one you see on tv that you lay on and do crunches , on cant think of the name of it right now.

DEBBIE D::::: that Lyme disease is tricky huh? Is it found with a simple blood test that is just for checking that? Wow that is weird that you are 90% like your dad lol if you had been a boy you might have been more lol just kidding.
I am going to town tomorrow and getting some stuff to make the chicken broth …that would be a great base for some really good soups too ..
Wow you have been using restoril for 13 years? Every night? It is a good sleeping pill but is pretty addictive or that is what I read in my PDR…it is only suppore to be prescribed for a very short term time. I guess as long as it isnt causeing you to want more and more of it then you are ok. But just be careful.
SHERR:::: yeah she is being left alone for the time being. Hopefully she will be left alone by him forever.
Tammy is suppose to start up her support meeting soon again …she gets on now and then , use to all the time but she don’t get on as much any more.
That would be great if you could go up and meet her and Brenda Minks and any one else in that area.
ANGIE::::: how is the secret pal deal comeing along…did you check out that web site. It works pretty good but everyone on the list of names has to go and put in their information so that others that have their name can send them stuff.

So glad that you love your new job. Maybe you need to go back to school and become a special ed teacher or just a teacher. The school systems need good teachers so badly.

Yeah im like you I have never shyed away from letting people know that I had wls and that it isnt cheating or taking the easy way out. it is a contast battle to keep your weight, protein, vits and food in alignment.
That is about the only meat I can eat too Bev…is ground beef but im not complaining cause I love chili and have it about 3 times a week. Then I make just brown ground beef for like tacos but I just put mine on a plate with all the taco fixings and eat it that way.
Nothing new or fancy, I don’t like that , any time I get started trying to make new and exciting recipes I get started eating way too much. So for me the simplier the better.

Dear Auntie Jan and OH Peeps~
Happy Happy Friday AGAIN...!!! Seems like I was just typing TGIF yesterday-where on earth is the time going? Way, way too fast, thats for sure. Gee whiz, I was just thinking to myself that I NEED to start Christmas shopping at least a little bit-cause I have a big purchase coming up in a couple of months. We are buying the baby a really nice crib-and its the kind that not only will it turn into a really nice daybed-BUT....also a sleigh bed for when she is a teen or whatever. Very beautiful AND it also has a little dresser that can (and will) be used as a changing station early on-and it converts as well, to a regular dresser-gorgeous, if I do say so myself!
Jon and I had a very lazy day AGAIN...I HATE that feeling-of not being accomplished. I just mentally go back to the OLD Janet way of thinking and no matter how much I know-I cant stop it. Does anyone else struggle with this? Seems like I read a post Andrew did once-and it was basically the same thing. This really BITES! Anyway-I am not taking the one pill the doc gave me to take at night, cause I just cant seem to keep it all together when I take it. I didnt have my wits about me until about 10 am. I mean, I was up and all, but I felt like my head was really cloudy and I dont like that. My sinus's are acting up too-just like the boys! They arent coughing NEAR like they were-but I started them on their meds ASAP as soon as the first signs shone through! So-we did his school work, and besides some basics-we just chilled for the day. When Darrel got home from school-he carried out 2 of the laundry baskets and I started some of the laundry.
I got a disturbing call today. My oldest called and said Eric would be here this weekend (my ex)..I was so mad! He wanted to see his dad I guess (who is here visiting). Hasnt seen him since they found out he has AIDS. Anyway-I thought it was really kinda funny that he doesnt have the money to pay any more child support BUT, he has the money to drop everything and come here. Nice. Same story, different day, thats all. Altho-when I showed Steph that child support started garnishing his wages and thats WHY he quit, she was told that the boss wasnt giving him his checks signed-AND that they were shorting him on pay! So short on pay that they just went out and bought a 2008 Tacoma-4 door. Told Steph when she was sticking up for him that its real rough financially when you can go get that and make pmts each month when you CANT/DONT pay your child support. She said-they dont have pmts on it-they paid CASH FOR IT!! OMG! That was it. I called cse AGAIN today to check and see why they didnt have his warrant activated on MOCASENET-its a felony and its not showing as an ACTIVE warrant. This time I just asked for a supervisor right off the bat. They are suppose to be getting back to me. IF I dont hear from them by noon (from Jefferson City where you are REQUIRED to call first) then, I am going to the Joplin cse office and talk to them directly. I know for a fact that IF he got his pampered butt arrested-that the back support would be paid in full!!!!! So, Megan calls me a bit later and says that he cant make it out THIS weekend because he is waiting for his medication to come in-so it will be next week. ARGH-well, maybe thats for the best-gives me time to get that warrant activated.
Renee did get to meet Lou today. She had a good day except......Amy forgot to schedule Renee for the excercise class and its REQUIRED-so NOW she has to go up the day BEFORE surgery and take it then-ARGH!!! I thought it was a little easy. One thing I do know tho-they do not have to do nearly the crap that I had to do-or Sherr, that time frame. Sherr went up for a week at a time twice and we would schedule SEVERAL things to get it all done! Just had a LOT of testing to do. It was sometimes 3-4 appts PER DAY when I went up for my pre-op testing!! Oh well-the EYE IS ON THE PRIZE! Just a hassle-not a denial, right?
Please keep Bec in prayer for her recovery and pain. Hope she continues to sail through this! Our other post ops too! I would like to add the preop girls too, for strength and peace of mind as they do their liquid diets. Please keep Sherr in prayer as she gets her testing done today-hope its something really simple! We also have Deb D's dad. Lets pray he gets good news at his dr., as well as her too. Lets keep Susan in prayer that she continues to get better with her blood sugar and all-
Please keep praying for Michele and her safety. Also-lets send a few prayers up too that she finds a job with people who will be a good influence on her and witness to her!
I would like to ask for prayer for Megan. She is STILL really sick everyone...BUT-thats not all-she has been seeing the ortho since her accident last December or January, cant remember now-but anyway- her OB doc is sending her back to the ortho because she has some really bad problems with her hips and leg. They are going to be giving her a brace or a boot to wear for the extra support while she is pregnant escpically. I would appreciate any prayers!!!

I was wondering where some of our peeps were too-Jeanine, Peggy, (((DEB))), just doesnt seem the same without them now, does it? I hope they are all okay. I hate to worry...but they become like family to us! Has anyone heard from Brenda? I wish she would post and let us know that they are ok!
I sent you an email....oh, yes, I think the world of Bec and Paul. I do!! I didnt think anything of her crying when we hugged-I was crying too...it was awesome. Would never think anything but the highest respect for her! Cant wait to see her again-along with Deb too.
So glad that Sugar is having the vaca of her dreams! It IS hard to come home after a vaca like that, huh? Cant wait to see pics and all of that.

Anyway-so HAPPY FOR YOU about the weight loss AND your meds not having to be messed with anymore!!! YAY!! Im sorry your having problems with the FIL and nursing home. What did you find out? Will pray for that situation and your FIL...and then Susan-how wonderful that her blood sugar was down that much!! PRAISE GOD! I bet thats such a relief for you!
Thats funny-we went so long being so big that we COULDNT weigh on the scales-so now-yeah, you betcha we want them to be right and will STAND TALL to get it RIGHT, huh? When I went to Urgent care a couple of weeks ago-the scale deak was sitting on 250 when I got up there-and she just kept going down and down and down and I finally said-GO TO 150 and go up if you have to-and I moved it for her!!! I KNOW she thought I was rude, but I was insulted when she left it on 250-LOL...
Anyway-so I better see ya post on the weekly weigh in tomorrow, with your good news-and CONGRATS! Tell Susan that she is in my prayers and hello!

And i gotta type in my own emotions sheesh. To early for all this LOL.I haven't felt good the past two days so i kinda just layed around. Not good i know but really just don't have any energy and i feel like i have ate a big Thanksgiving dinner . i am full feeling clear to my tonsils and all i have had in 2 days is a can of soup.
My legs and feet are swelling and don't know why. They been doing it for about a week now. i sent Natalie an email but haven't heard from here yet.
Amy our Nutritionist told me since i was taking b-12 shots i didn't have to take b-1 or biotion so i stopped but i felt better and had more energy when i was taking them so i am taking them again. Hope they kick in soon.Maybe i should go have my dr do a blood draw check my vit and iron levels.I dunno i just know i don't feel as good as i did.
Nikki just left for school .Big day for her,She has a feild trip today.So she is very excited.
We are haveing a fish fry Sat{shooting hubby his idea} so i gotta clean house from top to bottom ,mow the yard,Push mow cuz rider is broke.Prepare the food and if i have any time left today lose my mind LOL.
The scales finally moved again and i was outside sitting this morning and i crossed my legs at the ankles .I loked down and Guess what I have knee caps. I actually have bones knobby knee caps, So i got all excited called hubby on the phone and tell him. He said congrats Honey I am proud of you. Then he says I am scared that once you lose your weight you are going to find someone else. OMG I love this man more than life itself.I told him noway .I Would never leave him let alone for another man and that he couldn't beat me away with a stick.It broke my heart that he is feeling this way.I dunno how to reassure him. A day at a time i guess.

Today has been a lazy day for me, I really haven't done much except lay around with my feet up trying to get the swelling to come down after yesterday. Plus I have this killer headache that isn't going away.
I was up by 2:30 and on the road by 3:30 to mobar for there about 7:30. Whew!! What a trip that is. It was a pretty good day, I got to meet alot of nice ladies getting ready for surgery this coming week, and one other lady having it the day before Lou and Me. Such a nice group, I invited them all to come check us out here and to give us a shout, so hopefully they will.
I found out yesterday I should have been signed up for an exercise class, but nobody bothered to tell me this and it cost $100. GRRRRR!! What a nice surprise...NOT. So here I am trying to figure out what to do and how I'm going to pull another trip before surgery and the only thing I can come up with is to come up the day before surgery and do it, cause I'm NOT spending another 8 hours on the road for a 30 minute class, it just doesn't make since to me. Thankfully I get a call this morning and I don't have to take this class because I didn't know anything about it and I'm already scheduled for surgery...works for me. So everything is all ready just need to fax in the test results I've already faxed in..
Tiff's doctor visit went good. Her foot is healing great and she starts back to school on Monday. It's driving her nuts that she has missed so much school. She is planning on going in early and staying late until she is caught back up. She got her progress report a couple days ago and her grades are still passing but she doesn't like having c's.
The diet is going ok I really haven't lost all that much weight on it, but I have to keep in mind I didn't start it until Wednesday.
Jan I hated reading they let idiot out, I wish she hadn't told his mother where he was when she called maybe he would still be locked up. But I'm sure it made her feel good to rub it in her nose a little even if it was just telling her.
If he gets locked back up let me know. I'm going to go ahead and send my friend the info just in case he goes back. I just wish they got their mail faster, I think it takes 3 or 4 days for them to get it and that's after delivery. It could be longer then that I really don't know, I just know jailhouse mail is slow. Anyways I'm sharing what info I think needs to be shared with him.
Lou it was so nice to meet you yesterday. I hope you guys had a good trip home, and I look forward to seeing you again on the 7th.
Janet I'm so glad Megan could go with you, I felt so bad that I couldn't. I was so looking forward to spending the time with you and Jon. I'm so jealous you got to meet Bec. I hope that I get to real soon.
So next weekend is when the loser will be here, do I need to come stay with you? I still can't believe he has the nerve to show up here, what is he thinking. I would have a cop waiting to lock him up......shoot if I was him I would want to be locked up before you got ahold of me. Hopefully Steph will open her eyes up to him soon.
I'm so happy you might be going with me for my surgery, it's starting to look like you will be the only one there. Tiff wants to go so bad but doesn't think she can miss anymore school, and *****ally knows whats going on with Kala. I sure wish I knew what was going on with her. I want you to know that if you can't make it I will understand and no I wont be mad or upset with you. I love ya sis.

I'm really not for sure if I'm going to go ahead up the day before or just wait until that morning. It really depends on if Janet and the girls are able to go with me. In alot of ways I think it would be easier to go the night before, but then again it would be easier to go the same day to, so really not sure yet.
Hey the lady in the black shirt and capri's (I'm terrible with names) will be having her surgery Monday, so if I do go up Monday I'm going to go check on her.
I was going to ask you what motel you stayed at, and where is it, and the price. I figured I better be finding out there's not alot of time left. WooooHooo!!!

Just had gotten home, from the appointment, (it's in another county than the one I live in) and was called by my doctor's partner, "You need to get to the closest ER, it's bad, and we need to have a surgeon on the ready, once he reviews the Radiologists findings.... My doctor is 89 and doesn't work on Friday's anymore.
He told me I had: INTUSSUSCEPTION
An intussusception is a situation in which a part of the intestine has prolapsed into another section of intestine, similar to the way in which the parts of a collapsible telescope slide into one another.
In adults, intussusception represents the cause of approximately 1% of bowel obstructions and is frequently associated with neoplasm, malignant or otherwise. (((The malignant part was what freaked out my doctor's partner!!)
Symptoms
Early symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, and intermittent moderate to severe cramping abdominal pain.
Fever is not a symptom of intussusception. However, intussusception can cause a loop of bowel to become necrotic. This leads to perforation and sepsis, which causes fever.
Diagnosis
An x-ray, ultrasound, or computerized tomography of the abdomen may demonstrate the problem, or in the most critical cases the patient may be taken to the operating room immediately to repair whatever is causing the problem, be it intussusception or some other problem.
Prognosis
Intussusception is a medical emergency, as it will eventually cause death if not reduced. When an intussusception or any other severe medical problem is suspected, the person must be taken to a hospital immediately.
The outlook for intussusception is excellent when treated quickly, and when untreated it leads to death within 2-5 days. Fast treatment is a necessity, because the longer the intestine segment is prolapsed the longer it goes without bloodflow, and the less effective a non-surgical reduction will be. Prolonged intussusception also increases the likelihood of bowel ischemia and necrosis, requiring surgical resection.

So here I go, BACK to that county, to their E.R. and was waiting in the waiting area,
Scared the crap out of me.....My poor mom came undone. My sweet 89 year old doctor that was on a "day off" had heard about the diagnosis, gotten dressed, and gone to the E.R. to read the findings himself....and calm me down....I love him.
He says it's not as life threatening as his partner thought, and I do not need to have emergency surgery, like originally instructed.
He thinks "adhesions" and I need to contact Columbia, MO hospital to set up a follow up appt.
I called Natalie, and she wants me to come in for a EDG and follow up appt. Will wait for Amy to make the appt. on Monday.
I am so glad I didn't have toto have surgery TODAY at some tiny little old hospital...whew.
