Is This Normal?
I had my gall bladder out on Tuesday and I havent been able to rest or recooporate yet. I have had Halloween parties, eye glass appts and really think I just need to relax tomorrow. But, I am writing this post because I am still having nausea ( not nearly as bad as it was ). I have not had any protein shakes in a long time because they made me so sick! I am scared I am going to be sick again . My weightloss has slowed down because of me not getting my protein in. I know this. I am really frustrated with myself. I know that I probably put on a few lbs because of the surgery, but I am at 266!! I was at 263!! I am trying to eat more protein bars, but they arent enough. I am worried that maybe I messed up my pouch because sometimes I drink while eating. Is there anyway to shrink it back or get it in gear to work? I was 324 in July. I know I could of never lost this much without the surgery, but I dont want to stop the weightloss here... Please, give me some advise.. Do i need to walk more? I am going to try a protein drink tomorrow ... get back on vitamins and start walking a little more in the evening. I would love some support and suggestions. Thank You!!
P.S. For everyone that knows my son Jarett, his football team was 8-0, they won the Youth Football League Superbowl today and made history!! This was the 1st 6th grade football team from Joplin to ever make the superbowl and to win!!! ( They played against Seneca!! ) It was a great game!! I am so proud of the kids!!

Good grif girlfriend. You're not supposed to run a marathon after gall bladder surgery. Even if they do it laproscopic it's still a major surgery. Slow down! Listen to your body and take care of it when it screams at you!
I don't know about the pouch b/c I'm a pre-op, but there is a five day pouch test to kinda reset the pouch. Go to www.5daypouchtest.com to read about it. But be sure you talk to someone wiser than I am in these things before you try it. And you know Jan will be all over you for not getting in your protein. Bless her, she cares so much about all of us.

I wouldnt worry that you've ruined ya pouch already, your still pretty new out of surgery, doubt ya could of done that yet. You really need to try and walk as much as possible, that is one of the key things in losing weight is at least 30 min of excersise, even if you only walk a up the driveway and back a couple times a day and work up from there, thats VERY important for your weight loss. As ya know protein is soooo important, im not sure what you've tried or anything, I buy my powder at walmart, its like $14 a container, only thing is they only sell it in vanilla and choc. I buy both and switch up, is what i do is I also buy the walmart brand of crystal light in several different flavors, I mix up some crystal light then put a scoop of vanilla powder and shake it good, it does foam up a bit but usally goes down after a min or two, to me that always tastes pretty good and goes down easy, sometimes i'll put that mixure in a blender and add some ice and a lil friut like strawberry's or something and it makes it into a smoothie, i drink at least 2 of those a day, thats just a thought, dunno if you've tried that or not. Also on those protien bars, please be sure and watch the carbs in those, they may have 25 to 30 grams of protien but some are loaded with carbs, eating to much of those would hinder your weight loss some im sure. Well anyway, hope some of that is helpful for ya.
Thank you guys!! I am on my way to get some crystal lite and try andrew's idea... I am thinking about getting some peaches ( canned ) and some frozen fruit so I make smoothies. I am also going to get a shaker cup. I know I have to get on the ball with my vits and protein. I usually park real far out as far as u can and still be in Walmarts parking lot and walk up and walk through the whole store, plus with cleaning and walking up and down stairs all day thats about the extent of my walking... but today I am going to start taking it day by day and start walking again. I weighed myself and I am back to 263... So, as long as I can keep doing right and losing I will be happy!! Thanks again!!!
