WHATS HAPPENING MONDAY

Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr it was sure cold this morning when I got up good grief but the new little infrared heater that we put out in the green house kept things a nice cozy 60 degrees...that will be warm enough for the things I put in there for the winter,,wont be warm enough to germinate new seeds or to grow new seedlings but will put up the heat lamps then too...hopefully the elect bill wont be too much this winter with that heater....

It it is too much this next month I will have to bring all of those tropicals into the house instead of the green house and that makes such a mess. Yuck. I could do without it but may have to be.

 

Joe has been using caulk everywhere today. Around windows  and doors putting up weather stripping etc. hope to be able to stop any cold from coming in .

I guess all houses need that done every few years anyway. Now comes the time of year that he gets busy doing things in the house that need being done that haven’t ever gotten done or new projects that we want done...like I have several wooden shelf brackets that I want to put shelves up along my dinning room wall so that is a project that I have for him to do...will have to decide how and where and how long I want them....then we will put the shelf brackets up and go buy the wood for the shelves. ...i have so many little things that need a place to go and now they are just sitting all clunked to gather pretty little things that mean so much to me, little gifts received and are loved....

 

Also this will be the time of year to do more work in the guest house; hopefully we can get it all done this winter. Looking forward to that...we have some good plans about that too. Need to put new windows in and do a lot of caulking etc over there too

 

Joe wanted a cake so I baked him one, didn’t bother me at all except that he ate too much of it ...good grief he ate about a forth of that cake in one sitting.  

 

That darn cake. Looked so good that I ate a bite of it...oh my go**** was so sweet, and then the stomach pains started....i ran to the bathroom and threw up, came out thought it was over but nope...threw up some more and then started with diarrhea...oh lord just thought sugar didn’t bother me cause the bites I have taken before of stuff wasn’t big enough or it wasn’t as sweet or something...why in the world did I take a bite of that stuff , it hasn’t caused me to eat it before. Well wont do that again and I guess I can quit saying that sugar doesn’t bother me because it  does for sure....good now I wont be tempted any more. I don’t want any part of that anymore. ......be  back in a while.

Well more of the same.....yuck...  after several trips and some gas x I think im going to live...

  

SHERR:::::: sweetie I know you are in Columbia by now and hope all is well with you. Im hoping your friend Sugar will come on here and let us know that you are alright. We will be praying for you....

  

SANDY::::: sounds like you are getting your house ready to live in it more too. That is why I do such heavy cleaning in the fall of the year... in the spring im outside most of the hours of the day so don’t notice it again except till I have to stay inside for awhile...thus the cleaning in the fall. I mean I do stuff all spring and summer but not any deep cleaning I use all my efforts then in the gardens and yard.

 

Sounds like you have found a solution to weight gain...hope you are happy with it...

   

BEC:::::::: your description of the dogs and your walking was so cute , I could just see you and them walking along with you. You don’t take Tito do you ? he is so little , that may be what the big dogs are looking for .

 

I use to do fabric paints but haven’t in a long long time...i bet it is beautiful...i will have my camera too to take pictures of all that are there on the 19^th...

 

Lol I know when you called me the other day I had to laugh with you talking about walking in wal mart....i would never be able to walk for exercise in wal mart. Too much stuff to look at...i would have to have blinders on to do it...

But isn’t it wonderful to be able to walk in there without having to lean on a buggy or ride the elect cart? Oh my go**** was about 2 weeks after surgery that I went to wal mart and I was so excited and happy about that. Just amazing.

 

Are you getting your hair cut short? Or just trimmed? I cant wait till the 19^th is going to be so much fun...

VESTA:::::::: the one get ta  gather is on the 19^th in Kansas City or right outside of there. We are meeting at  Peggys house ...you are more than welcome...if you want to go call me we will decide what to do...come her and then we can go together to Sugars and go up there with her. Whatever.

The Christmas party of COF is on the 22^nd of December at the Library in Springfield...if you want to go come to my house that day and you can ride with us and then when over you can stay all night in the guest house and go home the next day.. ok? Sure hope you come...we will have a good time.

  

JANET:::::::: sick of the cold weather ? it isn’t even winter yet...21^st of December starts that lovely season....im with the rest of you im ready for spring lol.

Hey see you already have the girls Christmas presents bought all you have to do is finish them up pretty...maybe God will show you something really neat for the boys too.

I know what you mean about Christmas...and giving your kids things you never got as a kid....i use to save and skimp and put things in lay a way all year long so they would have stuff on Christmas...i would start the buying and putting in lay a way right after Christmas at the Sales adterwards.   One year we didn’t have Christmas until after Christmas. Lo;l

 

Oh you WILL be going with us on the 19^th you tell them that is the only day you can be there and Sugar said she would take you over. Ok? No questions about it. Done!!!!!

 

Oh talking about scum getting away with things ...Micheles ex has to be in court in Berryville tomorrow....found out from his cousin this and that Jason told him that he might be facing 10 to 15 years for all of that stuff. Man do I ever hope so...would be such pleasure to know that he didn’t get away with all that he did to her...

 

The feed store where you get the dog food doesn’t have any hay or straw? A lot of them carry that at this time of the year. If you don’t plant the e.e now and wait till spring don’t keep them stored In anything together unless they are really dried out good. They will mold if you keep them like in a bucket or something. So they need to be laid out and get dried out...can keep them anywhere that they wont freeze ..a storage building garage or basement ...

 

Hopefully Joe will feel like going to group with me on the 24^th if not we may come into Sugars that day and he can stay at Sugars while we come to group and then we can stay overnight with her and go home the next day.. they said it is one night in hospital and that he would have some pain pills if he needed them and he will be fine in a couple of days ...so im hoping he will be ok by then...maybe not to drive but will be ok

Sinus’s are better , didn’t take anything to day and about noon started sneezing like crazy again. But got up and used nasal drugs and it quit. Thank God...

    

PEGGY::::::::: oh don’t like that the potassium is low...that is one of the problems Sugar had after her weight loss surgery...she was a sick girl over that...but hers got down to almost nothing. Usually when it is as low as hers was the person has a massive heart attack and dies...God was looking over her I know...

 

If this surgery was for his back I would try to get him to not have it because most people that have back surgery just trade one pain for another.

Im a nurse so don’t have any problem getting a job, unlike some people in todays market. I guess I have been lucky with that , people will always be sick and nurses always needed. And I can make good money but it is tiring and there are so many rules and regulations that you don’t get a chance to really do much nursing. But since he is getting his neck done I may very well go to work for at least a couple of months and save the money for what I want. Lol

 

Yes CMA is an exciting ministery....we go to our first chapter meeting on the 20^th the day before Joes surgery but we are going to go any way...hopefully he wont have to be in surgery till later in the day on the 21^st.

   

BEV:::::::: ok im going to read you the riot act and if I have to come up there , well you don’t want me to do that now....I know you are sick sweetheart that is a given but you are not going to get well unless you take your vits. And drink your protein...make it just as small as possible and do what ever you have to do but get that stuff down...PLEASE... this not eating and drinking and not taking your vits is probably the reason you are getting sick a lot here lately and it will just get worse and worse. Believe me if you are malnourished you will get sicker and sicker with one thing after the other. You cant do this to yourself you hear?????? Rest and drink broth that is good when you are sick, and take your vits with the broth,,,do a protein shake, and take some more vits.  No one said it is easy but you have to do this. Please...love you take care of you.

   

DEBBIE  D::::::::::::oh that is just horrible that David got laid off ,,,,again>? That is so sad ...i hope he can find something else soon...so many businesses are going out of business and cutting jobs...they said the jobless rate is higher than it was since in the 80s

Hey Everyone!

Just thought I would pop in and let everyone know I am still here. Kinda dragging lately......no energy so I guess it has been good to have my knitting. At least I can do something. Maybe it's just the weather...

Making hats for the grandkids now. About half done with my first one. I will bring it on the 19th. Seems like it sure is taking along time to get here.

Hubby's work schedule changes this week. He was on 4 ten hours days and off Friday's (which he loves) but begining this week has to work 5 eights now. Watching the snow threats for the week-end. If it snows he won't get to go deer hunting. Always on call to the state for snow.

Question for anyone who knows anything about the Click protein drink. Anyone use it and is it good? Just thought something hot might be good this winter or each morning to make my coffee useful. LOL

Always have everyone in my prayers for whatever is needes. Love you all and your always in my heart and prayers.

well Im not feeling too hot! Oh wait a minute....I think I am! may be running a low grade temp...lol! Sore throat all day yesterday. I felt like crap at church but went anyway so I could share my misery with all 500 -600 people there! Not really, all the hugs I gave yesterday were with my head to the side and wouldnt breathe on them. Everyone has something right now it seems. Im going to stay home from the gym today and rest and use my Nettie Pot and see if I can get over this thing. I havent had anything to speak of since surgery and this was a real surprise. I was beginning to think I was invinsible! lol

I wish you had my big rubber tree plant at your greenhouse to keep. Im going to ask Jeff if he will take it to his and tend to it over the winter. Maybe he will keep my e/e too! lol and then can be growing!

Im getting so anxious and excited about the 19th that I can hardly stand it. I think we are going to have quite a few people there. It should be soooooooo much fun.  My clothes that I was going to bring along are at Sherri's house in OK tho...I left them in her car while I was out there and we used my car to transport all of her wedding stuff to the church. I dont know if I will get a chance to get them before that day or not. If not I can get them when I go for the wedding and will bring them to the Christmas party. I do have some other things to bring but my jeans were in that batch of stuff I had already put in my car.

Well seriously Im sitting here sweating so I think I should go take my temp and take some tylenol!

Dear Auntie Jan and OH Peeps~

Mondays-I HATE MONDAYS! I guess the week has to start sometime tho-right? I woke up not feeling quite right. I feel odd. Physically, and so its making me feel "off" mentally too. I dont have a clue whats wrong, but I sure dont like feeling this way-thats for sure! Wish I could put my finger on it..... I woke up at 3 with a real bad tummy ache-and none of the "normal" wls stuff.....I took 2 prilosec and went back to sleep. Not sure whats up? I hope its nothing, but I HATE this odd feeling and I dont feel well....dont know-

Mike was excited when he got home from up north.....They saw 7 big does while they were there putting up Mikes tree stand. His adopted brother has 200 acres up there-AND.....60 acres are leased to the conservation and its not hunted-so they dont feel that stress-so Mike is very hopeful that this weekend he will get something. Where they put his stand, there are well traveled trails-ALL the way around it! Stein (adopted brother) has gotten his limit the previous 2 yrs he has been up there. Once the guys get their deer this weekend coming up-then Mike wants to take me up with him.....YAY I think-Im not sure tho-I cant stand the cold in the house-I dont know what I will do out there-plus not being able to drink anything warm because of a deers sense of smell and so on-will see, tho..... Im just excited for Mike...Maybe with no poachers totally surrounding him and all-he will have a chance. He did get to see one of the poachers this Saturday-will see what the conservation does now. Although this weekend is opening firearms-so not sure they will do anything but maybe see if they hunt while its dark (they do spotlighting at night-which is against the law too). I just hope those punks get whats coming to them!

Lets pray for Susie, Peggy, Bev in KS, Sugar, Debs hubby David and Jon and I-all of which arent feeling good-with different issues.....thanks. David (Debs hubby) got laid off Friday-lets pray that he finds another job ASAP....Then we have waterfall, Jeanine and Joe-all pre-op. Lets pray for strength and peace of mind, and then safe surgeries and speedy recoveries. Thanks....and pray for whomever else needs prayer too!

I know this is short-but I gotta get the zoo animals around here fed and watered and then I am going to lay down for a bit before I do my running-TRY to get my bearings about me so I can get my errands run....I cant go feeling this way, thats for sure. Plus-its sprinkling here and is suppose to rain for the next couple of days-Yippee Skippee! NOT!

**Jan-Yes, I wrote down ALL the info on the e/e...AND the other plants and things too-I have them laid out already. Just wanted to try and get them planted now-but its not looking promising. I did try to get the bale of hay/straw at the feed store-but they were awaiting another delivery and were out except for their personal stock (they do have some animals there permanently since it is out in the country-goats and pigs and such)...so....I will see if they have any this week when I am running and if not-it will wait till spring.

I used to love layaway-but our k-mart closed years ago and then walmart stopped their layaway a couple of yrs back.....I went to kmart 2 weeks ago in Springfield and put 3 things on layway there for the boys. Plus, if those 3 things go on sale before Christmas-all I have to do is call or go in and they will match the sale price.....

Thats odd about the cake-maybe it had something to do with the brand-and the other ones didnt make you sick? Im so glad that doesnt happen to me...Im sorry it happened to you too! I hope your feeling better!

I hope that jerk DOES get the book thrown at him today-but he will more than likely come out of it like he does everything else-with a slap on the wrist and smelling like a rose! I will be praying, however-that he gets SOMETHING-so that MAYBE he can FINALLY learn a lesson!

**Bev-PLEASE take care-dont get dehydrated on top of being mal-nutritioned. I did after surgery and really have never felt so sick in all my life-I really thought I was going to die! Force yourself to do your sipping, vitamins and protein-as if your life depends on it-cuz it may! We love you and want you to be ok.

**Sug-your in our prayers!! Feel better! Im so sorry your not feeling so hot! I hope it passes quickly! I will let ya know what I find out when I call the dr ofc today. Thanks for the offer, we will see what happens. Love ya.

**Deb D-I am so sorry to hear about Davids job! I am praying for him and the family!! I wish that there was something I could do, besides prayer, but there is power and prayer and I will be standing firm that something else, BETTER will come his way! I hope and pray he feels better soon, too.

I'm with all of you....not ready for winter and all the cold.  I remember when I was huge that winter was my favorite season because I could get cool.  Not anymore, if it wasn't for Thanksgiving and Christmas I would skip winter alltogether. 

I kind of got my thought organized yesterday and decided that even tho I thought I had tons to get done, it really may be manageable.  I will start on bits of it today.....slowly, slowly.  I really want to be able to relax this Season since my daughter and husband will be coming home for Christmas and I want to enjoy their visit and not stress over stuff not being done.

I just got off the phone with my mom in OK and she is so sick.  There is a nasty virus going around and I'm seeing so many of our people here seem to have the same thing.  She's been sick for over 2 weeks.   It sounds so much like what Debbie D's husband and Bev are struggling with.  So you all who don't feel 100% (Janet, Sugar) make sure to watch yourselves carefully.  This stuff is bad and can move into pneumonia.  Be careful, please.  We use Zicam a lot when we feel a cold coming on.  They only last about 3 days instead of the weeks they did before.  Anybody else try it?

Hey Barb....good to see you.  Hope you start feel better.  You're not getting sick, too, are you?  Maybe it's just the change in the weather.  I have Click and I like it.  It's got a pretty strong coffee flavor and I actually mixed it with water.  I usually hate protein in water.  If you want to try it before you buy it, I will have it here the 19th, then you can try it and decide if you like it.  It's kind of pricey but seems to pack quite a whallop.

Sugar.....get some rest and get better!  I cannot wait to see you all the 19th, too!  I'm so giddy, you would think I was getting ready for prom.  I love the idea of us being squeezed in here.  My house isn't huge, just a 70's style ranch, but I've got plenty of room.  I just can't wait!

Janet....I woke up the same way.  My head just feels funny...ya know?  Try to get your running done but make sure you feel ok, first.  Don't want you to get sick, too.  And you will be here the 19th, one of us will get you where you need to be...I have a car, too.  And I bet I could whiz you over there and back before you knew what was going on. (My Mustang and I LOVE to go fast...lol)   I so want to talk to you since I didn't realize that was you when I was at COF.

Has anyone heard from Cor?  Wonder how she's doing with her waiting for approval.  I know this whole thing has been tough on her.

Jan....I agree with the back surgery.  I've never heard a good thing about one.  But since his seems to be more neck, they may be able to help him.  And I knew you were a nurse, I'm just a dope and completely forgot.  DUH.  If you decide to go back, I hope you get just what you need and for the length of time you need.

Debbie D....doggone it!  I hate to hear about your hubby losing another job.  I'll be praying for you and your family.  Tough time, but I know you have a great faith that will sustain you thru this.  Bless your heart. 

Hope the rest of you are all ok, forgive me for not naming each of you.  I love to see you post and see how you are all doing.  Keep us informed, ok?  Got start getting around for my surgeon appt this afternoon.  I want to get one thing checked off my todo list so I'll feel like I'm getting something accomplished.  Tomorrow is drain day (I hope)!!

Hi Ya...Im here every day...thank you Peggy..Nothing yet still waiting and close to giving up...Started a new diet today, hope this one works this time. I dont post much anymore, but I read everyday. Keeping up with all of you and YES...I have been doing alot of prayer for you all and myself. Anyway..just want to come on and say hello!

Oh GLORY GLORY GLORY!!!!  They got my labs on the first stick!!!!!   Oh boy am I thankful for that!!!!

Then I went and mailed a couple of packages and got some stamps, walked at Wal~Mart again and got my hair cut ..... and it may just have a teensy weensy bit of SAS!!!  I'll have to wait and see if I can fix it myself first before I will know for sure.... I know Paul will like it.... it's BIG hair! ~tee hee..... I was an 80's girl! oh dear!!!  Then I ran a few more errands and just now got home....

Boy I need to get busy now the rest of the week..... and Janet like you...do "the list"... ~tee hee..... Paul's mom called and said she would not be able to make it as there was a death in the relatives family and she will have to babysit Paul's sisters boys..... oh well I sure have enough to keep me busy for several days....

Paul was sick with the crud that everyone else seems to have all weekend and went to work not feeling well this morning ..... I sure hope I do not get it.... he has coughed all over the place... I have been spraying Lysol all around.... he is such a big man and when he coughs it is so deep deep deep that it feels like he infects the whole room! ~ha

I got a few blue Christmas decorations today to go with the TK tablecloth.... the decorating will be very very  minimal this year....

Well I like every one else just can't seem to even set still with being so excited over the 19th!!!  Oh how blessed I am!!!  Janet who else do you think will be coming?

Corine ~ will you be going?  Maybe we could work out a way for you to ride with me if you want to?  Bev. B in Sedalia.... would you be able to go?  You could ride with me too... if you think you could go... it would be fun.  Do you still babysit in the day time?  Marilyn?  You work nights don't you?  I could go thru Sedalia and then up 50 Hwy... thru warrensburg....  

Cornie don't give up on the surgery! It took me two years to work thru all the obstacles but it was SOOOOOOO worth all I had to go thru!  So please if there is any chance at all... hang in there! 

Oh my goodness I'm not going to have good things to report in Peggy's post today..... since I had to fast for the labs... I did not get my vits, water or protein in today.... I will get some of it yet but it's not going to be good that's for sure!

Im feeling a little better tonight than I did this morning. I just feel a little wore down. I havent done anything today except some laundry and made alot of phone calls that Ive been putting off. Got mine and Rick's eye appointments made for the 17th so maybe I will have my contacts for the 19th...Im anxious to get rid of the glasses.

Barbara You are definately down for the 19th.

Hey Everyone,

Just thought I'd come check in and see what was up.  Had a busy day today,  Susan had 2 appointments at St. Johns in springfield for disability, hopefully thats the last and they'll get on with it.  The doc there definetly saw where her feet have neuropathy (sp) low blood flow in them,  hopefully that will correct itself maybe once she gets WLS.  We're real excited tho about going to columbia on the 24th,  Im gonna be seeing Dr. Suttmoller (sp) then she's gonna go to the seminar and get the ball rolling,  just pray the weather holds out.  Its hard to believe its been almost 2 yrs since I had surgery, sure come along ways but still have a long ways to go,  its come off slower then i wanted but least its come off, its slowed down quite a bit but i think a pound or 2 a week im still losing.  I go back to my PCP on weds to get my leg checked out, its looking alot better,  just a lil spot on it now,  if i can just get the swelling to stop, dunno whats causing that now,  my b/p has been really good so its not that.

Anyway sure hope everyone is having a good evening,  am praying for the ones in the hospital and those that arent feeling well,  seems the crud is going around.  Gonna go curl up in the blanket and get warm.
