WHERE WERE YOU 45 YEARS AGO TODAY

45 Years ago today President Kennedy was shot, i can remember exactly what i was doing . seems like we can always remember the things we were doing when major defining things happen, may not remember the date or even the month but when someone mentions Kennedy being shot (if you were old enougn) or the space shuttle blowing up or 9-11 we all know where we were and what we were doing.

I had just put my two kids down for a nap, and had just came down and turned the tv on to watch my soap operas. and the parade was  on . i remember thinking oh great, now i dont get  to watch DAYS OF OUR LIVES i was in total disbelife and shock when i saw him slump forward and the announcer saying the President has been shot. and thinking oh wow that is ok they will fix him up after all he is the president ..then when they announced he had died . i cried and cried. i think he would have been one of the really greats, he did lots of good things as it was. he was a hero of mine

I was a preschooler but old enough to remember. I know it was that was on tv for several days. My biggest memory was seeing pictures of Caroline and John Jr. I hope our country never sees anything like that again.

We were living in Japan at the time, (Dad was in the AF) and I was in the 4th grade.  One of my brother's friends came over and said that Kennedy had been assassinated.  I thought he had gotten some kind of award and didn't understand why my parents were upset.

I remember exactly where I was when Kennedy was shot,  well I dont exactly remember but I know where I was,  I was still in my momma's tummy, she was 6 months pregnant with me so I dont remember any of it happening but know it had to of been such a sad and tramatic day.

I was in school and remember another teacher coming in the room crying and then we all got sent home.  I was in 4th or 5 the grade.  It changed the world that day...

well you have all made me feel like an old woman this morning.lol not really.

it was a horrible day. week and time,. to think that someone would shoot and kill a president , since that time i dont think they have allowed a president to ride in an open car anymore have they? Kennedy was such a great peoples president,.

I was in 7th grade history with my favorite teacher Mr. Grant. I can also remember it as if it were yesterday. LOL

I was probally drinking my bottle or sleeping cuz I was only 5 months old.LOL Fun question!
