Confused
I went to kcbariatric.com today to find out when the support group meetings will be for January and THERE AREN'T ANY!!! Then I saw that Nola is leaving the practice. First it was Dr. Hitch**** now Nola, are they going to continue their practice? I haven't even had my first fill for goodness sake! Do any of you all know what's going on that you can share?
Also NKCH has support group meetings now starting in January for "weight loss surgery" folks. But it is not separated between lap banders and rny's (just fyi).
TIA!
Jean

Hi Jean,
Dr. Hoehn's practice is as sound as ever and there are no worries for his patients to be concerned with. I know what happened but not comfortable in sharing what was told to me in confidence. But trust me when I tell you it should have no long term effect in your personal aftercare.
The support groups being canceled this month is just temporary as they prepare another nurse to take over those responsibilities. Please know Dr. Hoehn is not going to allow our care to be substandard. So he elected to postpone the support groups until he could get a qualified moderator trained in the best methods for his patients.
I'm glad to hear NKCH is finally getting involved with WLS. I was surprised it has taken them this long to start a program. Although I will continue with Dr Hoehn's program as I have had such success with it. I am too loyal to even think about going anywhere else.
Congratulations on selecting the best WLS surgeon in the KC metro and best of luck with your success with this amazing journey. If you have any questions about your LapBand please feel free to ask. I am 15 months out and would be glad to help if possible.
