WHATS HAPPENING SUNDAY

Hey there everyone....well we are now in Van Horn Texas...we drove about 400 miles on the trike today...we are about 122 miles from El Paso.....I took a lot of pictures from the back of the bike today I have got them onto my computer but I haven’t had time to put them on my web site yet. I will try to get them on my web site tonight before I go to sleep...well hopefully.lol ..

 

Yesterday when we went thru San Antonio we wanted to stop and go have lunch on the river walk but it was so nasty and cold that we didn’t , hopefully when we come back thru it will be pretty so we can go...also to the Alamo..

 

Tomorrow when we get to El Paso we are going to go down by the Rio Grande and have lunch and walk around.  Will be a good exercise. Im afraid I haven’t gotten much since we have been gone except the two times I went with my sister to her Zumba exercises. Wow you talk about a work out. She also showed me a lot of good exercises to do with my exercise ball. And I did all of them with her. Now when I get to my daughters she is a weight lifting fool so  I guess I will get some more exercise. Lol  

 

 

When we started out this morning it was cloudy and looked like it might rain at any minute but by about 50 miles from where we started the clouds were gone and wow sun and got up to 67 degrees. Felt really good. Checkting the temp for tomorrow in El Paso says it will be like it was today so that will be good. We can start off the day without all the insulated stuff and be a lot more comfortable....

 

 

POOH BEAR::::::: I am wanting to get in a big garden this year....i always raise tomatoes and a few things planted here and there but I want a regular big garden....Andy and Susan are going to help me work it too. and then we will go halfs on all the stuff.

 

 

LOU:::::: I hope your grandpa is ok....it is scary to have our loved ones sick isn’t it?

Know that I am praying for all of you. 

Congradulations on 70 pounds loss wow really good by the time I see you in Feb. no telling how small you will be. Great going.

 

 

SUSIE:::::::way to  go on the smaller size, hang on it will be more and more soon. Yeah when I was younger and wore size 10s I weighted about 20 pounds less than what I do now. Don’t know what the difference is. Who knows. One doctor gave me this idea,  when we are overweight for a long time our bones grow in density which weights more and when we lose weight we don’t lose the bone denisity so there fore you weight more and are littler???? Who knows but ecveryone says the same things about the weight and clothes. The only ones that I haven’t heard say that or people that are really young...

 

 

 

SUSAN::::::::glad that your doctor visit went well and that you don’t have any problems with that foot again. that might slow down your surgery if that opens up again. sure hope not tho,....when do you get your new shoes. That may help a whole lot....did your diebetic doc give you any ideas of what you might do extra to keep that from opening up again?

 

 

COLETTE:::::::im really not eating that much food and am still drinking my protein coffee in the morning. I just don’t have much of a way to do another protein drink unless it is with coffee too during the day....i justcant handle very much food...when I eat you can feel my tummy it sort of balloons up under the skin. Lol

And im only getting in 8 – 8 oz glasses of water a day too. that might be helping.

 

I wish a lot of you could have gotten on you a bike and came along that would be fun

 

Oh I forgot to tell you all that coming across the desert on highway 10 we got in a sand storm, not a big one but enough that when we got here and started getting our stuff out of the trailer, the bottom of the trailer has about a ½ inch of this real fine silky sand in it. Sometimes the wind was blowing so hard that I thought it was going to pick me up ....i was hanging on for dear life. ...lol ...

GOOD MORNING TO ALL THE WEATHER SURE WAS NICE YESTERDAY FOR A LITTLE WHILE WAS NOT NEAR AS COLD AS IT WAS ON FRIDAY MORNING.IT WAS JUST TOO COLD THEN.JAN MAYBE YOU NEED TO PUT SOME ROCK'S IN YOUR POCKET'S SO YOU DONT BLOW AWAY IN THE WIND.LOL.

SOUND'S LIKE YOU AND JOE ARE HAVING A GOOD TIME.HOPE THE WEATHER DOES STAY WARM FOR YOU ALL.I ASKED THE SUNSHINE TO STAY WITH YOU ALL.

WALKING AROUND IN EL PASO WILL BE FUN.ANDY TOLD ME HOW PRETTY IT IS THERE.HE SAID WHEN HE LIVED THERE HE WOULD RIDE HIS BIKE ALL THE TIME TO HIS GRAND MOTHER'S.I HAVE NOT BEEN ON A BIKE IN SOO LONG I THINK I FORGOT HOW TO RIDE ONE.LOL.

JAN MY FOOT DOCTOR TOLD ME JUST TO KEEP A EYE ON MY TOE.KEEP ON USING MY PED EGG TO KEEP THE AREA SMOOTH.HE SAID ONE I GET MY NEW SHOE'S THE CRACKING OPEN SHOULD STOP.NOW THAT MY INSURANCE FINALLY IS APPROVING MY SHOE'S I SHOULD HAVE THEM IN ABOUT A WEEK OR TWO.I AM JUST WAITING FOR THE LADY FROM FAMILY PHARMACY TO CALL ME AND TELL ME THEY CAME IN.

REBEL IS DOING GOOD. WHEN I GO OVER TO CHECK ON THE GREEN HOUSE AND HIM HE SOMETIME'S WILL FOLLOW ME INTO THE GREENHOUSE AND WALK'S BACK TO OUR HOUSE WITH ME AND LAY'S BY THE SIDE OF OUR HOUSE LIKE HE IS WATCHING OVER US.

YES WE ARE READY TO PLANT A GARDEN WITH JAN.I LOVE TO GROW THING'S AND IT WILL BE A LOT OF FUN.

Good Morning Jan And Everyonr

Sure is chilly here too. 32 this morning but alot better than single or neg temps.
we are gonna go cut 3-4 loads of wood today,So if i dont post later yu'll know i feel overdead from loading it LOL.
 I have been to San Antonia a couple of times,Went to see the Alamo and walked on the river walk .It is so peaceful.But lots of food places to eat LOL.

We usually do corn. beans, lettuce,carrotts, peas, tomatoes big boy tomatoes,cherry and grape,We also do zuchinni,cucumbers for pickling, Green peppers,a lil okra to much and it takes over the garden. Gail likes it fried in taters. I do acorn squash, and ornamental gourd and pumkin mix, watermelon,catalope and lots of other things. This yr i wanna try the pretty dark purple,orange ,yellow and red peppers, I use them in my pickles. Gonna try doing some taters Too. Our big pumpkins we toss on the burn pill when we clean the seedss out for halloween pumkin,then Gail burns the pile early in spring and poof huge pumki plants grow and we get really big pumpkins LOL.
I wanna learn how to can beans and make some salsa and the corn relish this yr, Providing the garden does good. Gonna go out to Gails frirnds farm and scoop patties outta the feild and till it it, pPLus don't we need some lime and nitrogin moxed in?? been tossing wood stove ashes out there ,They say they are good for garden.We will see LOL.
We tried doing green onions,sweet onions ,garlic,beets and turnips {YUCK{ last yr but they didn't even come up,But got a late start on planting,So maybe this yr we can get them in quicker.I know the seeds can go in early but plants gotta wait till all danger of frost is gone.Think i will plant flowers around outside of garden this yr hopefully help control those nasty squash bugs out.
WEll enough of that now i wanna go play in gardwen LOL.Ok I lied one more thing. The sed catalogs have some really cool plants and seeds so might try some different things also, We also have lotsof room so gonna plant a couple apple,pear ,peach and Cherry tree;s wish me luck LOL. Cuz i can kill a cactus LOL.

ve lost 69#'s but sure dont feel or look like it.

DEB   marigolds are the flowers that helps keep bugs out of the garden....old timers use to p lant all around the outside edge and then a row down the middle...they are pretty but smell so they ought to keep the bugs out......oh Bec has your flower seeds that i sent to you....maybe you and she could meet half way somewhere

It is nice to have a family cuz i do noit get along with my mom,or one of my sisters,and the one is a drug addict and my other bro is an alcohoilic and even Though God says we have to love them doent mean i have to be around them,If being around them tears down my faith.

Deb, fufu is the Mocha Latte you get in a box at walmart, the packets are in a box and its SF, I mix it with skim milk and ice and in the blender the directions are on the box.and and I put cool whip on the top...an the hot fufu is international coffee in the small can and mix it with coffee and add whipped cream to it, its SF also..and a Little SF cho. syrup drizzled on top...ohhhhh its good...vesta

Good Morning...

Went out early yesterday morning when Paul got home from work and helped him rick up another cord of wood some folks were coming to pick up... the sunshine was wonderful but the wind was gailforce! ~ha  Then I went for my walk... I could tell the horses DID miss me they came right over to the fence for their apples... the dogs were out as well.... a new one added to the tribe... and he was lets say "feisty" had to straighten him out a time or two!  He looks like a mini~Eskimo dog...all white.  We will have to come to an "understanding" if he decides he going to be regular! ~tee hee

Went to town in the evening for some needed items.  I had not been out since last Sunday when I went to church... I was in the throws of a serious case of cabin fever! ~ha

Mimi~ I have not heard from Jeanine... I will try and call her Monday or Tuesday.

Susan I'm doing fine... just not much going on around here to talk about... I need to get out and stir up something!  I've been telling my neighbor you know the one with the "red neck hot tub" that I was going to shoot bottle rockets over at his house but the weather is not cooperating! ~ha  I guess I could pick on Andy but I need him to show me a few more things when you all come so I better not mess with him! ~tee hee

You all have a wonderful day... I am going to try and get Paul to walk a new route with me today... not sure if I can talk him into it or not???  Maybe if I sweet talk him!

That's a thought but the problem is he has gained quite a bit of weight over the holidays... I think he is starting to think about it some.

And OH YES I did get the pics and I thank you for them very much!  They will be a wonderful addition to my "book"  I hate to call it a "scrap" book because it means way more to me than "scap" ~tee hee 

I loved the talk about the garden... if I don't get lime on my garden this year I'm not even going to plant one... it is way too much work to know it has to have the lime and not get it on there.  We will see..
