WHATS HAPPENING TUESDAY

I hope everyone is doing all right...and isn’t frozen in .....I am so very glad  that im not there but sorry that you all are... it was cooler here today  to but nothing like it was there.

I will be praying that it doesn’t last .a nd doesn’t cause anyone any harm....

We didn’t do a lot today, we rode the trike around town some.  Went and found a bank so we could draw out some money....needed some cash...

 

Could see the clouds all day encasing the mountain tops....they said there was snow today at 5000 ft. so a lot of them may be covered with snow tomorrow. That would neat seeing. We had a beautiful red sunset this afternoon... the skys and cl

ouds red streaks of red in the dark clouds , I tried to take pictures of it but of course it never turns out like you see.

 

I really do love this weather here for winter. Don’t know what it will be in the summer but I think we will come out here in july or august and see what it is like...everyone says it is really hot and I know from living in west Texas for about a year that it get very hot in the desert but it also if you get in the shade with the breeze it is very cool. And the night time is really nice in the summer, even sort of on the cool side. ....

 

I guess we might decide to start on the backward journey probably on Monday...Feb 2^nd.

Head back to Houston and arrive there Wed evening stay there till  Friday morning and go to Colfax La for the week end...friends of ours there want to ride on Saturday down to the coast . and then on Monday we will head for home if the weather is ok......if it is still cold there don’t know what we will do. We sure aren’t comeing home to cold and no electric...so will have to keep in touch with all there.

 

 

SUSAN::::::you sure are not giving me any incentive to come home you know? And if it wasn’t for having to get my things planted in the green house I wouldn’t...but I guess we will have to get the grass killed off in the garden area. And get it ready for some of the early stuff.

 

Lol I don’t think a javelin and Rebel would get along at all.. and besides they smell so bad ...even worse than Rebel does when he gets to smelling. He is so funny when we say he smells. All we have to say is Rebel sheeese you smell and he will look like he is so insulted and get up and walk away lol ...funny dog for sure. Im glad that you are spoiling him for us...

 

Susan those guys in that old trailer? They are some law inforcements officers. I think of Green county...good examples aren’t they? Or the trailer sort of across the street from you all.? Either way they shouldn’t be shooting right there in that area..

I think your carpet is very pretty too....if you do decide to get more I would like to have that to put in the trailer  lol

 

No Javalinas aren’t a member of the pig family or that is what they say here.  You can look them up on Google just put Javalinas in the space and it will give you all sorts of info about them...i thought they would be part of the wild hogs family but they aren’t..

 

We should be home sometime around the 9^th or 10^th unless it is still being really bad weather...if so we might go into Fla...lol

 

Sorry that the meeting couldn’t happen but better safe than sorry right?

Sounds like you are having to basically build your house all over again. I hope you get it all done soon and maybe next month  you will get to come to the COF meeting ....

I hope you aren’t too iced in and if you are that you are well prepared for it. But stay in so you don’t get injured anyway....dont need anything else to go wrong with you ...ok>?

Good morning to all.hope everyone is staying warm and indoor's where it is safe away from all this ice.our car is all white and the ground is also.andy said it is all sleet.the tree's are starting to hang with ice around here and the power line's.we are praying we dont lose power.andy and i went to the store around noon yesterday and by the time we got back home the water was already freezing fast to the windsheild of our car.by 400pm it was totaly iced over.

springfield sure got it bad.lot of accident's on 65.on channel 33 new's last night joe daues went out into the parking lot with ice skate's on and you could ice skate right there on the street,that's how much ice they gotten there.plus it is soo cold.burrrr.they said this could last through today yet.down to 10 tonight nad 12 wednesday night.supposed to be near 50 later on in the week.we are soo ready for that.

i have a good laugh.when andy and i went into town yesterday we wanted to hurry up and leave before the weather got bad.i was in a old pair of sweat pant's and i put on a sweat shirt over my top to stay warm.i had on thick yellow sock's to keep my feet warm.i did not want to waste any time so i just slipped on my blue crock's.i knew we would not be gone that long and i wasnt going any place special and i was only going into the store.of all day's there was kspr channel 33 will carter doing a story on all the people shopping to stock up because of the bad weather coming.i look like death warmed over.lol.there i am putting the jugs of water and my milk on the check out belt and he come.s over and is running his camara right there.there was a bird's eye view of me on the 430 and 600pm new's.lol.when andy saw he was there he said i will go and get the car for you and left the store.the store was soo full of people you had a hard time finding a parking space.

jan the trailer i was talking about had the boat parked on the side.i guess you could say it is between our house and your's.andy and i and rebel sure do miss you and joe,but we know you are glad to be out there away from this nasty weather.glad you and joe are having a good time.thing's are good around here.

pooh bear how are you doing these day's?did not see you post yesterday.i think all of us are ready for the warm weather to come and stay.we are from pa but the warm air is spoiling us.

jeanie sure is good to see you here on the board again.

susie pork rid's are good but i can eat too many my self.so can andy.he like's the one's from walmart the best but we alsoo get the one's from county mart in different flavor's,

Looks like DH may be staying home today. The base is closed. Thats what it takes for him to stay home.I understand round two is on the way. It may be even more ice than last night. I think we got mostly sleet with a bit of freezing rain. I am hopeful we will have power. I just heard they closed I44 a few miles from here due to multiple accidents. Roads are not good. I am not going anywhere

I just heard on tv a woman in California just gave birth to 8 babies. Lord have mercy. How could you do that? I am thankful its not me. There is another tv show in the making.

I have really paid for the pork rinds. I was in the bathroom half the day yesterday. I guess I know now how too much fat effects me. After you chew them they break down to almost nothing so you have room in the pouch for a lot. Lesson learned. I suppose I will try them again but in moderation. I think I will count out six or seven and put the bag away. They have a lot of protein so I won't say never.I still think they are the devil.

I can still see my grass so this is not my snow I have been waiting for. This is just a nuisance.I will keep waiting for my snow,maybe someday.

Karen what if the roads are bad Thursday? I will say a prayer they are clear for you.

Jan if you haven't been to White Sands NM. you should swing by there on the way home. Of course the grand canyon and painted desert are must sees.I think the whole area is a beautiful scene.The way the mountains can change looks from day to day. It is really pretty in spring when its in bloom.

I remember as a kid when we lived in El Paso we would go to White Sands, take our little surf boards and climb up the top of the hills and slide down  weeeeeeeeeeeeeeee  lol that was so much fun.  One day soon Im gonna go back out to El Paso for a visit,  i have a brother that still lives out there, kind of miss it.  Never made it out to the grand canyon tho, thats one thing I want to do also.

Yep...another jammies day!  We're not getting it like those of you south and east but it is cold and the snow is blowing.  So, I'm staying in and playing with my zillion projects I want to get done.  No, Jan, I'm not cleaning house.  (Even tho it needs it!)  May have to start a fire....not a lot of heat but it makes a person "feel" warmer.

I worked on more jewelry last night.  My son gave me a gift certificate to a local bead store and I went nuts getting some stones and beads.  So now I have to get busy.  Got one set done Sunday and another done last night.  I think I have 3 more complete sets to do and I have to revamp another one because I don't like how it's turning out.  I enjoy making them, tho.  My husband helps me design some of them.  But for some reason I can't get him to wear his designs!  LOL  Could you see the looks from the guys he works with if he came in wearing a necklace and earrings!!!  That reminds of the chapped lips story I will have to tell you all one day.

I also worked on the names of Christ plaques.  Hers are almost done and mine are getting there.  I'll be glad to have those done.  Sure makes me wish I had a kiln....would've been so much easier.  One of these days.

Well, I need to get my morning chores done and settle in for a day of me time.  Want to get my bible reading done, start some journaling and then the rest of the day for projects.  Yep, another jammies day.

Whew it is COLD. But am Thankful we are just cold and snowy.I love to see everything with ice on it it is so pretty,but very dangerous and destructive.i hope noone loses power and everyone stays warm and safe.
Does anyone know if amazon parrot is good protein? cuz i'm about ready to put ours in the oven.LOL She has screamed all morning and won't shut up.I fed her,gave her water,gave her a cracker and she is still screeching LOL.
Maybe she is wanting toast,Guess i'll try that.
Ok Whew that shut her up for a lil bit.Sheesh.Gail said that bird is spoilt.LOL

Last night Nikki was wanting some milk.She asked me to get it for her,Then she says i don't want you to have to waddle in there to get it .LOL. Kids are a hoot and ya  never know whats gonna come out of their mouths LOL.Anyhow i waddled into the kitchen and got it for her LOL.

OH MY the bird is at it again. Gonna try covering her up maybe she will go to sleep.If not i'm gonna pinch her wittle head off.I can't think with her screaming so gonna go for now.

LOL Deb,  we used to have a Sun Conour Parrot and that lil thing was so noisey, only way we could get her to shut up was to let her out so she could sit on my shoulder,  she loved my shoulder, lil bugger tho would bit my ear lobes lol  I used to have my ear pierced and she just loved to yank that out my ear, ouchy!!! I miss that lil bugger but she sure was loud lol.

Good morning OH family it's so good to be back!  It sure is cold and the ground here in Wichita is snow covered but thankfully I don't have to get out today. 

Jan honey where are you?  I see your traveling but where I have been out of the loop for a while so what have you been up to these days?

Peggy, so you like to make jewelry I want to learn to do that!  There is a store here called Kay Wiggins that has beautiful beads but their classes are during the day on Thurs. and I have to work so that doesn't work.  I need to call around and see if I can find other classes to take because I really want to learn to do that. 

My one year surgery anniversay was last week so that was exciting doesn't seem like it's been a year how time goes by so fast.  It's been a very interesting and challenging year but I made it through it barely at times but I did it.  I'm going to work on writing about what I went through the past few months today and see if I can get that posted today.  I think its important to share the good the bad and the ugly because everyone is different and we all experience different things and maybe my story can help someone someday.

I found something that I like to eat for breakfast and it helps me get in extra protein.  I do a little cheerios in a bowl then I put in 6oz of Dannon lite and fit yogurt (any flavor) one scoop of vanilla protein powder and mix that all up and then slice up 1/2 of banana in with it mix up and eat it and believe it or not it's good!  I get tired of the protein shakes and so when I put it in this I can't tell it's even in it.   I have found that I have to eat 3 small meals a day and 3 small snacks a day to stay healthy and I have to eat them even if I don't want to.  I have a strict schedule that I have to stay on I have certain times that I eat my meals and snacks throughout the day and that helps me know that I get everything that I need in daily.  

Well, need to go take some meds right now and do my morning snack, and let the pups out they love playing in the snow they are so fun to watch...... take care and stay warm and safe today! 

Hi, Mama Jan & MO Peeps:

Yes, I'm alive and kicking!  I'm a little weary but still here.  No, DH still hasn't found a job. I love DH and thankfully we get along (most of the time), but I have to admit I miss my ALONE time!  I did have a couple days this weekend when he and Jake went on a BSA camp out.  Yes, they were camping in the weather this past weekend.  They had a Klondike and the kids LOVED every minute of it!  Figures!

I've been subbing whenever I can.  Had a HORRIBLE day last week subbing for a 2nd grade class!  Had about 24 kids in the class and at least 4 with behavior problems!  They really need to let us subs in on some of that BEFORE we go in!  Needless to say, I sincerely hope they do NOT call me back for that class!

It is sooo cold here today!  Thankfully, we didn't get it as bad as some of you guys further south.  I called my Aunt who lives in Mountain Home.  She said they had 2 inches of ice and it was still coming down.  She said school let out early yesterday and was out today.  So far they still had power.  I hope you all keep safe and warm!

Mama Jan - I'm so glad you and Joe are having such a good time in Texas.  Thanks for sending pictures of those Javelins.  Glad to hear they aren't part of the wild hog family.  Had be worried when I first saw them.  DH had a BAD EXPERIENCE while hunting wild hogs in West Texas about 10 years ago!!  You'd have to hear him tell it to get the full "gist" of it!

Susan - Wish I could have seen that clip of you at the store.  Sounds like something that would happen to me.  Seems like whenever I got out without my makeup, hair done, old clothes, shoes, I see people whom I haven't seen in years!  lol!

Jeanine - Glad you're back home and getting things back together!  I'm sure you'll like it when everything is fixed.  Hope you don't lose electricity in the ice storm.  How far away from Mountain Home are you?

Sugar - You'll have to take pictures of your room when it's finished.  What does the new wallpaper look like?  I just know it'll be beautiful!

Peggy - Read your post yesterday on Andy's thread.  I'm going to type up that saying and post it on my mirror and computer!  Thanks, I really to hear that and be reminded that our God is still in control and the victory has already been won for those who are covered in the blood of Jesus Christ!

MO Peeps - I hope all of you are doing well.  I know things are hard and they get harder.  Let's remember to count our blessing and keep our eyes on our Lord and Savior.  He will never leave us nor forsake us!  God is Good All The Time.  All The Time God is Good!

Hello everyone....I know Im posting late....but wanted to come in and say hello to everyone....
Started my new part time job yesterday....its different from the In Home Care....Its at a residential Home. Kinda like a nursing home but these clients have to be able to do things for them selfs. I love it....the home is going to send me to get my Med Tech and Insulin license. So thats a good thing. We dont do much there but at least my boss is really cool. She asked me yesterday if I would like to eat lunch with them....Ummm I dont think that would be a good idea right now....they were haveing steak fingers fried and french fri's....Dont think that is exactly what Dr.H had in mind for me when he did my surgery....lol I just had water....and then later told her about the surgery....she said OH MY...now I understand......lol
Anyway...Im hanging in there....by a thin thread but still hanging...and still losing.....gota love that....
