Daily Bible Reading - Friday Feb. 13th
It’s amazing when you read Exodus today just how must detail went into building the temple. I can just imagine how beautiful it was with all the gold and fine detail that went into it. With the Lord giving specific instructions on how to build it and what to use it must of taken some skilled workers to build it exactly how the Lord said.
Reading in Matthew it really struck me how much Jesus went through for us on the cross. All the blood He shed, he shed for you and me so that we could have life and have it more abundantly. We are blessed in so many ways because Jesus died for us, He made a way for us to be forgiven, I am so thankful, so very thankful for what He did for us. When you slowly read what all he went through it really brings those holy ghost bumps on ya, wow.
I really loved Psalms this morning, as always, vs. 8 & 9 - Taste and see that the LORD is good; blessed is the man who takes refuge in him. Fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him lack nothing. Those verses sure give us hope for our future.
I came across a song that really goes with the devotionals the last few days, including todays, they have really spoke volumes to me. The song is called “Speak to the Mountain"
From strength to strength we sometimes go,
Then again we’re sinking low
In the shadow of a mountain looming high about our heads
We need not fear what lies ahead
For the Word clearly said
That our faith would be sufficient to make the
Mountain disappear.
*Chorus*
Speak to the mountain
You’ll not triumph over me
Be thou removed
From here to yonder
Disappear into the sea
Speak to the mountain
Speak with authority
And the mountain must move
And you shall claim victory
In the midst of the battle
When the foe is gaining ground
Look up and se the mighty hand of God reaching down
Speak God’s name and satan trembles,
Speak God’s word and watch him flee
For once again our God delivers
The mountain crumbles at our feet
This song really touches me and speaks so much. Y’all keep me in your prayers, Im gonna attempt to sing that song in church in a couple weeks, I havnt sang in a couple years, I don’t really have a voice for singing but I love blessing the Lord in song.
Sorry this is so long, y’all have a great day.

II Corinthians 4:7
"However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves"
Did you know that you have greatness inside of you? As a believer, the Holy Spirit actually dwells within you. You have all the power and authority in heaven and earth living on the inside of you!
All throughout life, God gives us opportunities to discover that greatness on the inside of us. When we overcome obstacles, we are tapping into that strength and greatness within. One thing I've learned is that God doesn't allow big challenges to face small people.
You may be facing something big today. It may seem like it's over your head, but that is a sure sign you’re a big person with a big destiny. You may feel small, you may not see how it's going to work out, but you've got to remember who you are; a child of The Most High God. You have been created in His image. You're wearing your crown of favor, and you are carrying His greatness on the inside of you. Have the attitude that says, "This may be extraordinary, but I know I'm an extraordinary person serving an extraordinary God." Stand in faith knowing that you have the victory because you have His greatness living on the inside of you!
Today's thought: I choose to stand in faith today knowing that with God, I will overcome every challenge and every obstacle.
