WHATS HAPPENING SATURDAY
Sure didn’t get much done in the yard today...got the one big limb off of my little fenced in area and then got another great big limb off the last tree... that tree is really big one or it was but when we tried to start burning limbs the wind started kicking up too much to burn anything. So had to stop, didn’t think it would be too good , burn someones house down.
I messed around in the house and in the green house, I guess you would say it was a piddling day.lol
We have had a big break in a water line at the community well... I guess part of it was because of all the ice and freezing of the ground and then the rain, we have been having water but no pressure...so I think they have it fixed now...they said that we would be back with good water pressure tomorrow...i sure do hope so....its the pits trying to rinse your hair when you wa**** especially when it is as thick as mine is..
Well tomorrow night the community center in Kissee Mills is having a valentine.
Dance...so Joe and I are going out to eat and then going to the dance...how neat we haven’t been dancing in so very long... oh yeah we did do some dancing at his brothers birthday party in Ark last year. I feel so much better now than then so hopefully will be better . I have always loved to dance, I even taught dancing at Arthur Murray Dance Studio in
Well now you all know something about me that you might not have know. Lol tell me something about you that we might not know. Lol
VESTA::::::sounds like you have been busy with seeds too lol ... the moon flowers are so pretty aren’t they. Love to plant them with morning glories and then you have flowers morning and night lol and there is a short time there in the morning that they are both blooming ...and they have a good smell too.
Yeah be careful of those seeds they are little , almost impossible to handle....and some of them can get expensive.
SUSIE:::::: I would imagine you could buy books to learn stained glass but I never do well with trying to read and learn something , I do much better with hands on to learn something new...i know I would never do it at all if I had to read and do at the same time lol
Susie when you have a grow light on seeds to get them to germinate you need it on about 12 to 14 hours a day...also need the light about 5 inches from the tops of the seed container...
Hey sweetie don’t you dare let DH tell you your house was dirty, it was NOT. You have a beautiful home and there is no need for you to think you don’t do anything...you do and you are worth a lot as a friend , wife and mother. And one day soon a grandmother. So don’t you let even your DH make you feel badly about yourself... Have you taken a picture of yourself lately? If not get one made by someone if you will come to the meeting this month I will take one of you and send it to you...then you can compare it to before surgery....you can really tell more about what others see than you can yourself ...
SUSAN:::::: well I sure hope you sent the freezing rain somewhere else for sure. I don’t want to have to deal with that stuff , ill go hop a plane and go back to
That is great about helping with the seeds . it can take a lot of time doing it for sure but so rewarding when those little green shoots start coming up, gives me a thrill. Lol
Yeah you cant put a belt around the elderly now , you just let them fall over and over. They call it unlawful restraint. And I can understand all of that too but when someone is hurting themselves looks like it would be better to put a belt around them and their chair then for them to fall. I said if I ever get stopped for not wearing a seat belt , which I don’t all the time , im going to use the unlawful restrain argument at court lol ....if it works for elderly people that don’t always know what they are doing then it ought to work for me don’t you think????
How is your leg and foot? Are they still hurting? Swollen? If so you may need to go to the urgent care. You get waited on a lot faster than at ER and doesn’t cost as much...and your insurance will take care of it...
PEGGY:::::::::I hope you enjoyed your dancing class. That is neat that you are doing that. It is fun isn’t it? How was the old house and the hallmark, avon and chickens. Lol ...
I hope you have a wonderful night. And I don’t think you sound whiney....
RENEE:::::: so is Kala ok? Last we heard about her she had been to hospital and they thought she might be really sick forgot with what but I have prayed and prayed about her and the baby...Keeping you and Tiff in prayer too.
Would love love for you and Tiff to come down sometime this spring and see my flowers and gardens. You and Janet can come down and then spend the night if you would like to
Hopefully we will have the guest house finished for once and for all. Any of you that would like to go on an adventure this spring or summer...well call and we will give you directions. ....it isn’t easy to get too and is quite a ways out in the boonies but we love it our here.
MEGGIE::::: well here she is , on the computer instead of sitting around instead of having that baby,,, take some castor oil that will get her started...but you need to drink quite a bit of it. lol and it is nasty.
Well I hope you don’t have to have a c-section...Where is your mother>
LOVE AND HUGS
GOD BLESS
EXPECT A MIRACAL

Morn'n Mimi and Mo..
I got a blessing yesterday when I went to the grocery... I wanted some fresh strawberries for a couple of recipes I am making today but I simply was not going to pay an out rageous price for them ...guess what? the Lord gave me the desire of my heart and I got them for $1.32 a quart! Great big beautiful RIPE ones! Isn't that cool! Going to dip a few for tonights meal for centerpeice I will be making and then I'm making a fresh strawberry mousse as well.... getting those was small thing but my Lord is in the business of small as well as big and I need both! ~ha
Went to the library and got a fresh supply of books to read a series of four... an English Garden Series.
Mimi I am thrilled as well to see new life on plants... boy I get enjoyment out of that! I've already seen new green on my mums! I've been digging around out there a bit to see if I could see anything?
AJ's room mate is a horticulture major... she is going to get to do an internship this summer at the Mo Botanical Gardens in St. Louis this summer... boy that sounds like fun! If that was me I would get stuck mixing mulch all summer when I wanted to be over there that gorgeous incredibly fragrant peony bed. Boy that was so wonderful to set on the bench and smell those hundreds of bushes! let along how simply stunningly beautiful it was!
I've been trying to think of something "interesting" you might not know about me but dang I have been such a boring person I can't think of one single "interesting" thing. I'll have to ask Paul later in the day and see if he can think of anything...
I'm like everyone else and thinking about Miss Mackenzie making her entrance! I'm hurrying up and waiting... I bet Janet has no finger nails left! ~tee hee
Well I hear Paul stirring so guess I better get out there and walk and then I have a full day of preparations for his meal this evening... will be fun to make all the new recipes. Wish I had a digital camera so I could post the finished product.
Have a good day.
Bec
Valentines Day is marketed for lovers but for those of you who are not in a relationship or in a not so good one you can have a great day too.Even if you have the partner of your dreams - Make today a special day to love yourself. Do something to pamper yourself. You are the most important person and you need to be kind to yourself. While its good to things for others you need to take the time for yourself. So many of us put ourselves last. Take time today for yourself.
I splurged on myself today. Although it was on ebay and not to expensive I bought two lots of books. I think I am getting about 53 books. Mostly paperback and fiction. I think of it as an indulgence. I love to read but haven't taken the time to do much lately. Its my way of pampering myself.Dh will freak when the boxes come but thats ok. Once I read them I tend to pass them along so they hopefully won't be around for long.
I hope everyone has a good day and does something special for yourself.
First off I want to say thank you to everyone praying for the girl's and me, I really don't think we would have been able to make it these past few months without them. For those of you who knew about it the check we were waiting on finally came through, and we have it all straightened out now. THANK YOU GOD. We can finally have our Christmas (with a few gift's this time), and I have the bills all paid up, and I can finally get the breaks fixed on my truck and stop driving Tiffs car (which also needs breaks, just not as bad as the truck does). Tiff and I are well on our way to being better I hope.
Kala is having a few issues with her pregnancy but hopefully they will all be cleared up soon. She is suppose to see her regular baby doctor Monday, so hopefully she will get some answers then especially since they are planning on moving March 1. Hopefully they will listen if the doctor tells them not to be doing any traveling (hard headed brat's).
Something interesting about me hmmmmmmmm, that's a tough one Jan.
As alot of you know I was a junkie years ago, and now I'm very passionate about helping teens in crisis. I plan to open a teen out reach center in the future or at least work at one. It's not that I don't want to help adults (if they really want the help), I just feel there's alot of teens having problems and not being listened to.
Jan going dancing sounds like fun, I think all Larry and I have planned is watching movies, I don't think dancing is such a good idea for me right now. LOL
Coming for a visit this summer sounds like so much fun, and maybe I can bring Miss Peanut with us.
Megan Auntie Renee would sure love to get a phone call today telling me to get to Joplin ASAP. LOL
I'm keeping everything clear for this week especially Friday, Saturday and Sunday is a whole other story though. Kala's baby shower is Saturday and then we are having Christmas Sunday.
I so can't wait to see you guys, please have Aaron hug you for me and kiss that beautiful belly and tell Miss MacKenzie Aunt Renee loves her.
Susan Kala is due May 30 on her adopted dad Jay's birthday, that's one of the reason Noah's middle name is Jayden. I'm looking so forward to seeing you at the meeting this month.
Bec WOW! Sound's like you are feeding Paul real good today, I don't think I'll let Larry read your post all he's getting is a frozen dinner or take out, unless he wants to cook. LOL
Peggy I'm so glad you are enjoying your dance class so much. What kind of dance is it, or do you do different ones each week?
Janet my dear I sure miss you. We need to get together again sometime soon for a nice long visit. Thank you so much for the awesome card, it had me laughing and crying. Love you
Secret Pal thank you so much for the great card's, even though it drives me nuts not knowing who you are, it makes me feel so special. Thank You.
I hope EVERYONE has a wonderful BLESSED day.
Love and Hugs

I hope you and everyone else had a great Valentines' Day!! I also hope you guys had a blast at the dance. Not something I would attempt right now...lol. I have thought about the castor oil, however I researched it and the reason it works scares me. The tiolet would be my new best friend, I guess I would have to move the computer desk into the bathroom!! I may try that tuesday. I'm not really too sure why mom hasn't been on here. That isn't like her at all. I know that there is a lot going on with Mike. The shoulder surgery he had 6 years ago came "undone". The weights in his shoulder came out and he needs another surgery ASAP. So mom is really worried about both. From what I understand Mike is going to the dr on Monday or Tuesday and they will be scheduling his surgery then. She is really worried about Mike and I having surgery on the same day etc. I know she would appreciate all the prayers and thoughts from everyone.
Megan
Wanted to get on here and join the fun! And tell you about my romantic Valentine's Day.....ready?
We went to the farm, Mark starts a fire and I start moving boxes and hauling trash. I now wear a respirator and also had on heavy gloves and jacket. So I am working away while Mark piddles outside getting a bucket to put over the old stovepipe that is leaking. No problems....right? Now I KNOW that there have been animals in the house because there is poop everywhere. I also know that animals are more scared of me than I am of them. I also KNOW that any animals that were in the house have run out when they heard us coming. Right? WRONG!!!! I bend down to grab a box, lift it up and THERE IS A POSSUM!!!! It looks straight at me and hisses! Did you know that a chunky chick can break the sound barrier? I run out of the house, screaming behind my respirator, get my sleeve caught on the screen door, try to rip it off getting away from this possum that I know is chasing me like Charles Manson. I'm still screaming behind the mask and dancing by the fire barrel and Mark is looking down at me and asking what is wrong. I can't even talk! I finally motion towards the house and he takes his gun in and dispatches ol' George. YUCK! I was essentially a nervous wreck the rest of the day but after he cleaned up the mess and it's nest I was able to go back in and work, albeit cautiously. I kept waiting for it's ghost or mate or kids to come get me. I was so jumpy. I'm not a scaredy cat usually, but this thing caught me completely off guard and it was huge!!!
So that's how I spent my Valentine's Day! Jealous? Thought you all might need a laugh, especially now that my blood pressure is back to normal.
So you want to know something about me? I was a straight A student in high school and had a full ride scholarship to college. Everything paid. But I didn't go. I ended up getting pregnant and we got married. So my heart is to talk to teens about how one seemingly small decision can impact their whole life. The first 15 years of our marriage was tough and if there was a way not to do life, we did it. But we have survived, by the grace of God and use our experiences to talk to kids. That's about it.
Love you all and I have enjoyed reading your posts today.

Life isn't about about waiting for the storm to pass...
It's about learning to dance in the rain.
