I'm so upset!!!!!!!

I just got a call from Dr. de la Torre's office. His mother passed away. I was scheduled for surgery Tuesday. Now I will not be having surgery until APRIL 7!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had 3 more days of liquids and now I have to start over!!!!!!!! I don't think I can take this!!!!!!!

OH Jody sorry about that but it is really sad that the doctors mom passed away....i dont think she did it on purpsose do you? i know the liquid diet isnt easy but just think how much weight you can lose. just hang in there  and keep your cool .

I completely know how you feel.  Mine was postponed due to my mother in law passing away.  I just said everything happens for a reason- we don't have know the reason why or be happy about it.  April 7 will be here before you know it.  As far as only having 3 more days- you actually will have lots of days of liquid after the surgery- you will be a pro!

Jody, I understand how you feel. I got the same phone call. But I agree I think it was a sudden thing. No one had a clue. I am worried now what they are going to do about all my fmla and std papers I just turned in on Friday to them. I asked Amy and she said if they give me any grief at work to get on the phone to Posha and she will clear it up. As soon as I got the call I ate some veggies I had been craving.  WE WILL GET THRU THIS!!!!

You could look at it this way, you would not want him operating if he was distracted and distraught over his mother. You are just getting a head start on the weight loss this way. Don't go out and start eating because you can. Hang in there it won't be long. I know it is very disappointing.

Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement. I was a little upset when I posted that last night. I was freaking out because I only had 3 more days to go and couldn't imagine waiting 3 more weeks! I know everything happens for a reason...I just have to figure how what it is.

Lets all pray for Dr de la Torres and his family  this is a sad time in his life, no one knows the date or the hour when the end will be only the Father knows.

Hang in there jody time will pass quickley for you.the liquid diet will be over before you know it.you will feel much better as you go along.you will be on liquid's for a while after your surgery and this will help you get use to it.i am doing it to get rid of some health problem's and it is worth it.we are praying for you,you can do it.god bless susan
