Is anyone cold???
Hey everyone. I have another question to throw out there. Before surgery I was always warm-blooded. I was the one that kept my house at 68 degrees and wore flip-flops in the winter. I had surgery on April 7th and for the past 2 weeks I have noticed that I am cold all the time. I now sleep with layers of clothes on and keep socks on at home. Did anyone else experience this? I'm thinking it is because I am still on liquids and my body isn't getting enough of something? Any thoughts?

You will find that now your body is in a fat burning state called Ketosis. When this happens you are cold. Plus the more weight you loose the more you are cold because you don't have the fat to keep your body warm anymore. Its all good. I was always hot before and now I'm freezing all the time. I'm like you sleeping in socks and blankets. Makes my husband crazy he says he's smothering in all the blankets I have on the bed. ;) Lou
nope it dosent get any better , i am 2 1/2 years out and i freeze all the time,...wear socks all the time and usually have my big fuzzy robe on in the evenings to stay warm ....and sometimes that isnt even enough....so no it doesnt get better even when you are thru losing. lol welcome to WLS.
