Looking for Surgen who accepts Medicare & Medicade

Hello every one my name is Teresa and I am looking for a Dr in Missouri to preform the Lapbandding surgery who accepts Both Medicare & Medicade. I have been battleing my weight  all of my life. And I am ready to do what ever I have to do in order the prolong my life.
I know if I could lose the weight I would no longer need to be on high bloodpressure meds or have diabeties. Thank you all for your help

Last I heard medicare wouldn't pay for lapbanding, I coukld be wrong, also medicaid might be differen't. If you get any good answers please post , My son needs something done, I had the rny, but he is only 20, and I think the lapband would be fine for him, rather than the rny. good luck, Susan

You can try Missouri Bariatrics in Columbia, they do the lapband and I believe Medicade pays for it but like Susy said Im not sure about Medicare, they can sure tell you though.
