Daily Bible Reading - Friday July 31st
Can you believe this is the last day of July? Where is the time going off to? Bec no worries, I got behind a few days myself and am now just starting to get caught up. Yesterday was a busy day getting our house all cleaned up and put back together from having company for a week, today is gonna be just as busy trying to finish up and get the yard mowed and cleaned. The evangelist Susan and I traveled with for a few years is in Branson and are stopping by this evening, we haven’t seen them in at least 10 or 12 years so we are excited about that. I promise though I will start getting caught up today. The Word has been so good, like you, it has made me stop and think about what I been doing and where God wants me to go.
The devotional this morning talks about perseverance, that is what has gotten me this far in my WLS journey. When we get ourselves determined to do something there is nothing or no one that can stop us and when we add the Lord into that then we are totally unstoppable. Ask the Lord daily to help you stay in that perseverance mode, you won’t regret it.

Proverbs 10:25
As the whirlwind passeth, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.
When the group began, there were sixteen people involved. They all made a contract to lose twenty pounds by spring. Spring was less than two weeks away, and the group was down to seven members. As Jean walked along the sidewalk toward the building where her group met, she noticed some small saplings bending in the stiff March breeze. Some had broken off, but a few determined little plants held on for dear life. 'I'm like that,' Jean thought. 'Most of the others have given up, but I'm going to hang in there, no matter how stiff the challenge.' Perseverance is a huge part of a successful diet. Continually ask God for commitment to your cause. He is good to give it.
