Dr. King placed me on a liquid diet two weeks prior to my surgery date.  The purpose of this diet was to reduce the size of my liver.  {I had to have the Open Gastric Bypass}.  I lost a total of 22 lbs prior to the surgery.  I suppose it depends on the surgeon's requirements.

Hey ladies sorry I am making you talk to yourselves.  lol lol!!!!! Little one is fine and not even gonna use the I've been busy line.  lol lol  Just been lurking around for the past few days.  I know this is silly but sometimes I just dont have then energy to post.  lol lol  I know stupid huh.

I LOVE THIS WEATHER!!!!  I sure hope it is around for awhile.  lol lol

I baked a while chicken last night with potatos and carrots for tonights supper.  So I am gonna have Wally run to the house before getting tiny mite from my MIL's and carry it back to her house to re-heat and have supper there.  It is the least I can do since she keeps my child half the week.  I cook for my mom and dad all the time on the weekends so I need to get in the habit of doing this at least once a week plus her and my FIL would LOVE the company.  Especially the little one.  lol lol

I hope everyone has a WONDERFUL day!

Good morning to you too!  It feels wonderful outside here this morning.  I love this kind of weather.  Not too hot, not too cold.

I wonder where Denise is hiding.  She usually talks to us on here so that we aren't talking to ourselves.  LOL.  She must be busy.  I hope the little one isn't sick.  This weather change has my youngest one's allergy asthma all flared up so we have been doing breathing treatments and using a vaporizer at night so she can sleep.  It is bad when little ones are sick.

Have a great day!

We had a pretty good dinner.  We had roasted chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, green salad with Olive Garden dressing, and dinner rolls.

I hope your dh feels better soon.  There is nothing like a good old grilled cheese sandwich for a troubled tummy.  We like some grilled cheese sandwiches at our house.  We usually have them with soup.  Some soup sounds good right now too with this wonderful cooler weather we are having.  I may just have to whip some up one night this week.

We awoke to another cool morning. 56 degrees here in northeast ms! I wore a jacket yesterday and it was 61. May break out the longjohns this morning....lol! I am sitting here sipping a cup of coffee, thumbing through recipes trying to find something to put in the crockpot for supper. I want to cook my chicken but no recipe I have found seems appealing this morning. I will be so proud when I am finsihed with this medicine. It leaves a metalic taste in my mouth...yuck! Nothing goes good with metal...teehee. Chat with you later. Hope you all have a good day!

I was told to lose 10-20 pounds, preferably 20, but I only lost 10. And Dr. Avara told my husband, while I was in recovery, that my surgery was a little bit more tougher than he thought it would be. Most likely because I got lazy on the all liquid diet at the end and my liver was probably too large. But I am still losing, so I really don't care at this point. LOL

I am now in say 3 of my liquid diet. I think I will be okay, however, being home all day yesterday almost broke me lol. When I am at work I have other things to keep my mind off of food so I will be good to go from here. How did your weekend go??
