Topic: RE: Clothing question
I gave my clothes to my mother and two sister in-laws when I had surgery. There is enough size range between two of them that 2 got the fisrt ones right after surgery and the other got them as I first began to scale down. I have a wonderful friend who had lost weight just prior to my surgery. She had sizes from 20 - 16 so I did not have to buy anythign for the first few months. She was a God send. When I did need somethign I would check the clearance racks first and then a thrift store (there is a good one on the way to my docotrs office). After I leveled off, I bought several things at one time to get me through las fall and winter. I am going to have to buy some new things for winter again. I think I can make do with the fall stuff because when I get home, I mostly wear jeans etc except for sunday and when I need to dress a little less casual....lol! I wnet for so long that I could not stand the way jeans felt, I felt as if they were going to cut me into, that I wear the heck out of them now....lol! Plus we frequent lots of ballgames and they are appropriate there.

Good luck with that. The 1st 3 days are the hardest. And if you've ever low-carbed it, it is very similar with the headaches and the withdrawals. You may even find out that your "hunger" is mental and not physical. Congrats!

Topic: 2 Surgeries 09/16/08

The MS Board has 2 posters who are having surgery next Tuesday, September 16th.

AnitaHeath (http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/anitaheath/) is having the RNY done in Birmingham (UAB) by Dr. Ronald Clements.

Jay Harper (http://www.obesityhelp.com/member/jayharper09/) is having the RNY done in Pascagoula (Singing River Hospital) by Dr. William Avara.

They are both friends of mine and I know both of them would covet your prayers for safety and success in their surgeries.

Or only Jesus Christ himself could fill those qualifications :-)

we should start a qualification list....qualifications of the perfect candidate and see what we get.....then try to find someone to match the qual list....I'd bet my meager (very, very, very,  meager) pay that we couldn't find a soul to match to the quals.

I posted an e-mail from Dr. Snyder in which he responds to questions and concerns people have had about the Full bar and the future of his surgical practice.

Anita, I agree with you. I tend to vote Republican, but it's not a requirement. I evaluate the individual, and not the party affiliation. I loved Fred Thompson when he 1st came out, but he never did anything. Then I started reading about Ron Paul and his ideas. Now some of his ideas seem pretty strange, and far out there. But if we keep doing things the same old way that we have been doing them, then we will continue to get the same results. Duh!

right wing conservative here....mostly always vote in the (R) column, unless candidate is a (D) and I know candidate is really an (R) undercover..it's so wrong, but happens a lot...such is politics.

My father-in-law said he knew the perfect guy to run for Prez....the guy on Law and Order Criminal Intent.  Said "he knows everything, reads every book, speaks every language, knows all other cultures....he'd make a perfect president.  I think he's on to sumthin

Bravo girlfriend!!!!!  I'd sing for ya, if I could sing - am so jealous of your talent.  On the rare occasions when I do sing, my husband, children and grandests either start pulling dollars out their pockets or beg me to stop.  I don't understand why they can't appreciate that I'm "trying."  LOL

Keep up the good work!!!
