Hello Tammy, I love MS and was so glad to find this site. I went on the over Fifty site a few weeks ago also the Grads site for those that have had the Band for one year are more. I like those 2 a lot but they do not get much attention either. These are all the safe sites though and you don't get some of the "wild " ones. lol
I have seen the Realize commercial on TV but know nothing about it. I hope you enjoy it. I believe they all have their good points as well as their down points. I am just so glad that we have them.
Have a wonderful day, it looks beautiful outside. We are close enough to be sharing this same beautiful weather.

Come on in, and welcome home! I am a newbie. I've had the Realize band for about 2 and a half weeks. So I love this site to get information, ideas, and to complain. LOL! I hear that this message board isn't as active as it once was, but there are about 4 or 5 regular posters on here. And they are all wonderfully supportive.
Congrats on all that you have accomplished to this point. It's obvious you have been working hard so nine little ole pounds won't be able to beat you. Hang in there and keep us posted!

Topic: Finally, Friday Night Football!!!!1
Football season gets in high gear in our hometown tonight!!! Wooohooo!! I love me some high school football. However, tonight is going to be bitter sweet. This will be the first season in 7 years my son will not be walking onto a football field....
. He played 4 years of varsity, 2 years of jv and 1 year prio to that in a junior league. He graduated high scholl this past May and is too small to play college ball. He only ways 140lbs at present. He was bigger than that during the season but has lost weight this summer. I am sure momma will get a lump in her throat when the team takes the field and my baby isn't out there.
. Oh well, at last this year, I do not have to wrry about injuries, which we seemed to have our shareof the past two years. I am putting my happy face on and going to cheer on my team......Go Big Red!!!

Hello Mississippi!!!!!!!!!!! I have been on OH since before my Lap Band surgery on Oct 7,2006. I have been all over this board and hate to admit that I am soooooo stupid that I just found this site,,,,,,,,now go figure that out!
I have had some ups and downs mostly ups and I love my band..........I have lost from 180 to 134,then gained 9 lbs back, clothes still fit the same but I am really working on those 9 lbs to get them off plus the 4 to weigh in @130. I had to go to AL to get a tiny bit out a couple of weeks ago because my band tightened up on its on, Doctor did a Fluro and said everything was fine, it just happens sometimes he said and he needed to take a tiny bit out, His words were,"trust me, please" so I did and I have. He believed I would lose the 9 that I had gained because I would be able to make better food choices. I have except for the bread stick from the Olive Garden that went down just to -to- to- easy! I go back the 15 of Sept and I pray that he puts it back in. I had my last fill exactly one year ago that very week so I needed to go anyway. I was having trouble and trowing up alot so I knew something was not right. I am really working my band and walking everyday.
I oust love seeing the food post on here,,,,,,,,,,,fried cornbread! There is no place like home, there is no place like home!
Please may I join your group? Sharon 1950

Ouch I imagine that did hurt. Of course having had rny I could not eat bread, well other than saltines, gosh maybe until like my 2-3 month out. And then if I did not chew it up to mush I would throw it up. lol lol Had a horrible something like that happen right in the middle of mcalisters and hell I was 5 months out then trying to eat one of their roll ups. lol lol I was soooooooooo embarresed. Dont worry about taking the sip that is totally understandable but maybe try and watch that sweet tea. Just because of the sugar you know. Of course I know it was just a sip but might as well cut all those bad habits out now while it is easier you know. I was also a sweet tea drinker and just switched to unsweet tea. Mainley cause i just can not stand any of the sweetners out there. Heck now I can NOT stomach sweet tea. And if I do drink it I have it like half sweet tea and fill it the rest of the way with lemon juice. lol lol I am glad u are feeling better!
Take care

Topic: Problems with Pancakes
This how my morning started out today. . .
My teenage daughter decided this morning, about 20 minutes before the school bus showed up, that she wanted pancakes. I have some pancake mix that all you do is add water. So I got the griddle preheated with some non-stick spray on it. I went to put a dash of DaVinci's SF kalua flavored syrup for some variety. But I was in such a hurry, that the dash was actually about 2 tablespoons.
I decided to try and go ahead and make the best of it. So I made little 4" pancakes. I was going to be eating healthy and so was my daughter, even though she didn't realize it. The pancakes browned very nicely. I went ahead and turned them over, while fixing my snacks and lunch for the day. The pancakes were done and we had a few minutes to spare. So I put a few pancakes on my daughter's plate and she scooted off to the couch to watch tv while scarfing down her breakfast.
I was still packing my lunch bag and my Curves bag, so I picked up a pancake with my hand, took a bite, and swallowed after only chewing the large piece maybe 5 or 6 bites. YEEEE-OWWWW! I felt like I tried to swallow the lid off the gallon milk jug. Let me say - I now know exactly where my Lap Band is because that piece of pancake found it and went through, but left me a nice little sore reminder to NEVER MULTI-TASK WHILE EATING!
I was so ticked I threw out the rest of the pancakes because I didn't want to risk any damage. And even though I didn't wait until 45 minutes after I ate the piece of pancake, I immediately put a sip of sweet tea in my mouth and let the tea gently slide down my throat to my stomach. WOW! I was so ticked off about my mistake that I just ended up skipping breakfast and only drank water until lunch time.
Feeling much better now after slurping up some smooth soup for lunch,
Tammy
