Awesome!!! What type of surgery are you having? RNY or Lapband? It is kind of a pain to drive to Birmingham but Dr Clements is a great surgeon.  I am fortunate though that I have Tricare and they pay for all my travel expenses. Teresa said now that she knew that I couldn't have any excuse not to come back for Followups!!  I think Dr. Clements has done quite a few surgeries on people from the Columbus or Columbus AFB area. I know of several . Today is a good day for me, I bought a pair of jeans that are 2 sizes smaller than 6 weeks a go and it probably won't be long before they are too big. Have you visited the Alabama board? I really like it, very nice people on there and I don't see near the drama that is on the main board and  there doesn't seem to be many people in this are on the MS board. I have become acquainted with some people from Tuscaloosa area. Tuscaloosa or Tupelo is where I usually go do my shopping. I can't wait until I lose about 100+ so I can do some serious shopping. Hopefully by next spring break I will be ready to buy some awesome clothes, I will plan on going to Florida to shop in Destin at Silver Sands Outlet. Good Luck and keep in touch, it is always great to meet people especially from my area, I would love to see a support group here.

I am from Columbus too, and currently awaiting a surgery date from Dr. Clements at UAB.  Should be any day now.

One week post-op menu:

Lunch was 3 oz pureed cream of potato soup.
Afternoon snack. 4 oz. low sugar cranberry juice
Supper is 3 oz of refried beans

Picking up speed to the loser's bench! LOL!

I baked a ham last night for tonight.  Also have some green tomatos think I will fry.  I know not to healthy but they sure are good.  I have some fresh greenbeans and prob will do some cheesy taters to go along with it.  I have my measuring cups ready.  Not gonna use the word diet but I started really trying to take control of my food choices yesterday and did really well!  I also have started my water back.  Hopefully I can get back on track!

Thanks for the suggestion Melissa. I love Mexican food so I am sure I  won't have any more fiber issues.

I ate the canned refried beans.  I added a little water and souped them up some so that they were legal for the pureed stage.  Beans have fiber.  Maybe you could try that.  I had the opposite issue first out from surgery.  Sorry you are having problems.

I had a lean cuisine and a salad.  I had the herb roasted chicken with mixed vegetables and a salad with Italian vinegarette salad.  And I must say I enjoyed it.  Wasn't too bad for a frozen dinner and bag o lettuce.  The family was having chicken wings and some pasta.  I didn't figure that was too healthy.  So, I didn't partake.  But I will have some of my low sugar homemade blueberry cake later this evening as a little treat.

YUM I have not made Tater Tot casserole in forever.  I must remember that.  Also I forgot to mention Shepards pie on your last post.  That is a good one and can be made up and frozen to.

You could also add Benefiber to your water. It is clear and mixes well.
