Topic: RE: What did you have for supper?
Hi Phyllis,
I'm 7 weeks out today and still struggling to eat anything with any consistency! I had a half of a melted mozzarella stick with maranara sauce and the inside of a beef and bean burrito. I ate the cheese stick because there was only about a teaspoon of filling in the burrito. I ate small bites, slowly, methodically, but yep, I dumped. My pouch just doesn't like food with any consistency yet. I am so believing things will get better.
I love collards and cornbread!

Topic: RE: LOOKING FOR LOCAL SUPPORT GROUP IN MERIDIAN, MS
Anita, I called EMEPA today and talked with a Judy Nutt who participated with the support group. She told me that they no longer meet at EMEPA, as the group is small and the auditorium is huge! Said they are looking for a smaller place to meet and that there is a shrink who had bypass surgery done and may possibly offer his office for the support group. Judy told me she would get back with me within the week. If you would like to call her to let her know you are interested in a support group, she could relay the message to whom ever is involved. Maybe the more that show an interest would prompt the doctor into having the support group at his office.
Judy Nutt's phone number is: 601 483-7361
Will let you know when I find out more info. Sheila

Anita, I found out there is a bariatric support group meeting at the EMEPA building here in Meridian, but that is all I have been able so far to find out. When I get the actual day and time, will be more than willing to let you know. Sheila

Hi Tammy. I have chosen Dr. Avery also. I have had my consult and I am ready to set a date----just scared right now!!!!! So I am interested in coming to the next meeting. When you know a date and time will you let me know? I am a cash pt. also and with the economy like it is at the moment it is making me even more nervous about spending such an amount on an elective surgery. I do think that I will be like most on this site ----very happy with the band and wishing I had gotten it earlier in life!! Thanks for the info about the meeting and please let me know about the next one. I look forward to meeting you.
THanks,
LaDonna
