Topic: RE: recipes needed - warm breakfast drinks
I have a transfer addiction.....COFFEE!! I drink a lot of coffee (too much) int he mornings. I have since early out. You might try soem sugar free hot chocolate with a scoop f protein powder or protein coffee. There is a good cider add in (for water) that can be found at Wal Mart. It is sugar free and can be drank hot or cold. Go to the main boarda nd look at eggfaces page. She had tons of recipes. There may be some recipes for liquid protein, not real sure. Also try Charlies page, she has several recipes as well.

Topic: Salsa Chicken

Crock Pot Salsa Chicken

3-4 B/S Chicken Breat
1 jar Salsa (bigger size jar)
2 TBSP Flour
1 packagae Taco Seasoning
1 can whole kernel corn
bell pepper, diced (opt.)

Mix all ingredients,  placing chicken down in salsa mixture. Cover and cook on low all day. You may shredd chicken if you like and serve over rice (rice opt.).

I saw this on another board this morning. I had been sitting here wondering what would be for supper tonight. I had all the ingredients so I put it together in the crock pot. Will let you know how it turns out later. Sounds yummy to me!! I think I am going to eat mine over shredded lettuce with a little sour cream on top or maybe some sliced jalapenos.

A HUGE Pat on the back for a job well done!

When people who don't know about your surgery start asking questions, then it really sinks in as being obvious to others. That is Great!!

Hey everybody, how are y'all doing?

Today marks 5 weeks post-op.  I started this journey at 338.8 lbs last August.  When I went to my first consult with Dr. Avara, I weighed in at a whopping 311.5. Today, I weighed in at 270 even.  That's a 41.5 lb loss since August 7.  Combined, I am down 68.8 lbs, a 20.3% weight loss.

Last week I weighed in at 278.5.  Today I am at 270. That is a loss of 8.5 lbs, my biggest one week loss yet.  Needless to say, I am very excited.

I got some compliments over the last couple of days.  The first one came on Saturday.  I called my mom as I do every night, and she told me that one of her best friends saw me, and said she could tell I had lost weight.  Today, I was at school ()  and one of my teachers told me that she could tell I had lost weight.  She was one of the few people I told about my surgery at school, and when I told her how much I had lost, she nearly had a heart attack.  The third and final compliment came from the baseball coach at my school.  I was getting my clothes from him (the clothes we wear at baseball games; I am the statistician) and he said he doesn't believe that the clothes would fit, as he could tell that I had lost weight since the beginning of school.  I told him I was down 42 lbs, and his mouth hit the floor (I didn't tell him I had surgery).

Well that wraps up my week 5 update.  I am still shocked I have lost 42 lbs in just a little over 2 months.  This surgery was well worth it so far.

Thanks for reading,
Jay Harper

I am happy to say I lost 5 lbs. I posted last week that I was afraid I was in a slump but I have pulled thru!  I am now down 30 lbs.  I was not getting in enough water. But I have been working on it and I am exercising more. (every day 30 mins on bike and 30-580 sit ups) So I guess I am back on track! Thanks for the help!
