Shoulder Trivia

Here's some stuff I've found talking to docs and googling since my MRI showed a thin spot in my rotator cuff.

1. 40% of cadavers over the age of 60 were found to have a full or partial rotary cuff tear

2. Even mild shoulder pain can indicate big problems - get an MRI

3. After 40, it can take 10-12 months for the rotator cuff muscles to catch up in development to the external deltoid and pectoral muscles.

4. Rotator cuff rotational exercises must never use more than 1 lb. of weight.

5. Rotator cuff tears can be totally painless.

All the Best,

Dave

Well dang, Dave ..  if you didn't go through all those fancy yoga/Pilates stretches and exercises and stuff, maybe that chit wouldn't happen to ya!

btw, great new Avatar ..  you're going with the Samurai look?

Frank talk about the DS / "All I ever wanted to be was thin, like that Rolling Stones dude ... "

HW/461 LW/251 GW/189 CW/274 (yep, a DS semi-failure - it happens :-( )

Nah, Batswingsman it was probably my working as a carpenter to get through college and then the 8 hours a week in the water while learning to swim. That's one thing that is still excellent - range of motion.

Thanks, not sure if it makes me look older or better or both or neither?

Best Wishes,

Dave
