I do not blame you for relishing in the solitude! What's the saying about house guest and fish - both need to be thrown out after three days!
Nobody local works on LG's so Sears is doing the repairs. Appliances were bought at a Home Depot about 9-10 years ago when X2 want to replace all of X1's almond-colored appliances with stainless steel.

Had out of town guests for 10 days, Two sisters, thier kids and a dog. Way too much eating out and just plain eating snacking. The left yesterday, and then on to a family reunion. The scale shows it. Some friends wanted to go to a car show and local brewery this afternoon. I had to pass. Enjoying the peace and solitude today!
Good luck with the refrigerator. I'm curious how you change out a compressor. We just got a new LG in November, to replace our 25 year old Figidaire, which still works and is now in the3 garage.
Good week to all!

Fridge and dishwasher both week before last. Refrigerator compressor and a water pump. Parts supposed to be here this week and fingers crossed I can take extra refrigerator back to mother's building. Been great having a backup ice box but does not have ice maker. I know. Beggars can't be choosers. Fetching ice from various sources PRN.
Still hot here. No yardwork at all but did row. Did another thing yesterday. Been wanting another Mule to run around pastures in and friend of mine is selling his. Looked at it yesterday and go get it this afternoon. Single bench seat not two like mine had. Has some minor issues but no more than I'll be using it - I'll pay my money and take my chances.
Started training one of my guys in the code enforcement aspect of my job last week. Have in-service training at DA's Wednesday on new cloud system that they want everybody to start filing cases with. See train wreck ahead. Maybe not.
Have a Great Week, Gentlemen!!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
I was worried about how much gasoline was going to take out of my pocket for yard mowing. Not mowing every week because no rain = no grass zero turn staying parked. Did break down yesterday afternoon and did push mowing part after starting thread. Had somebody that lost 25-30 torn open and empty Sakrete sacks across the highway from my driveway last week. Picked up all that too.
159ish last week, 161ish this week - No concerns, just a dump waiting to happen.
"You're gonna need a bigger mower" was the last thing I heard before caving in to having a landscaper cut my lawn. I actually enjoy it but I'd need to invest a few grand in a suitable mower and so it's easier to have someone do it for now. I have my hands full walking multiple dogs.

Had a 16+ hour day on Friday(and long Thursday as well) so didn't do much this weekend. Wife's making pretty good progress with her garden. Hopefully next weekend I can get the grass. It isn't too bad yet, but imagine with the rain we recently had it'll probably grow some this week.

Made "executive decision" yesterday that the only yard work this weekend is trimming the one tree that blocks our view coming out of the driveway. Again no rain = no grass. Not enough inside fence worth the gas to mow it this week and it even gets watered!

Not much new, still doing the summer grind. We got some rain this weekend and are supposed to get more this week, which good for the garden, but which will also unfortunately get the grass going again.

Happy 246th Birthday America!! Get the honors of working tomorrow. Fingers crossed it will be slow enough I can get some paperwork done!
No rain = no grass = no yardwork except closest to the house inside the fence where it is watered. Dry enough for the Counties that I live and work in to put on "burn bans". County Judge where I work has put the nix on any nonprofessionally done fireworks in the unincorporated parts of the county. Can't even sell them. Incorporated areas, like mine, have their own ways to deal with things. Unfortunately, where I live, they can still be discharged. Wonderful. Dogs will be on a full load of doggie anti-anxiety med tomorrow night. Hopefully none of the pastures catch fire from some yahoo doing them out of a car window going down the highway.
Have a Great "short" Week, Gentlemen!!
