Sure does sound like you are ready!! Do you have any Crystal Light or something to add to your water? I bought extracts like orange and mint to add to my boost to change up tbe flavour.
Ok, so I have started Vitamin D and B12 and even the Centrum Vitamins(thought it couldn't hurt). I have my stool softner ready to go. Boost has been purchased. What other tools are helpful either before or after surgery

Actually my date has changed to March 13th and my doc is Dr. Savoie
from what I understand is that only if it is life threatening.....I know there was one girl in my group who lost 2 family members to diabetes and it was extreme. She was rushed through in like a few months.
Hi Terry. Yes, I had the sleeve on Jan 13. The whole experience has been rather pleasant. I'm not really enjoying the pureed stage. I think its because of the consistency of everything. Lime greek yogurt and milk are helping me with protein intake. I switch to solid foods next Thursday and CANNOT wait. I'm dreaming of a salad with grilled chicken and vinaigrette dressing!. I had my first follow up appointment yesterday and had the staples removed. Completely painless! And I was shocked to see that I've lost 53lbs since my pre surgery weigh in. That's a total of 68lbs since I started on the shake diet. I'm sure weight loss will slow down, but I'm very pleased with things so far, and the team at G Dumont is awesome Peter
Congrats Terry!!!!
Your only a week away. That is so Awesome. Get ready for the whole new you. It happens so fast, your going to have one of the best summers that you can remember this summer. The one thing I tell everyone is as soon as it is ok'd by the DR after surgery is exercise exercise exercise.. 30 mins to an hour a day. It become addictive. but if you stop and get into a rut it is hard to start again. I am happy that my family have all decided to be on board with getting back to basics and kicking up our routines, to include a min of 30 mins a day. Im feeling better and they are feeling better, Life is good
Good Luck with the surgery

Hello Ellie,
Congrats of having a surgery date that is AWESOME. Life will never be the same. I was up to 4 Metforman a day and think that insulin would've been the next step for my diabetes. Now I only take Vitamins which in reality everyone my age should. At 44 I feel like I am 18 again. My kids have literally called there mother in a few times to say oh no dad's losing it. Because on a Saturday Morning I would be dancing while standing on chairs and jumping from chair to chair. Energy levels gone through the roof. IT's the best feeling ever.
Good Luck with the surgery and I didn't care much for the shakes either but they are the small step we need to overcome for the best results

Hello Kim,
I don't think I know of anyone who hasn't experienced the fear and doubt. I actually know of someone who had delayed there surgery date because of it but in the end went through with it and now knows it was the best thing they could've done. Feeling good and being healthy is possible :-)
Thank you Henry for your words. I know that this tool is a beginning but the best part is....I finally have hope again. I go Feb 13 and I am so pumped! Since I got my surgery date, despite my gravity issues, my feet have not touched the ground!
Terry
Peter, did you have the sleeve? How are you feeling now?
