I am going to meet the doctor for the second time today....my situation is a bit different because I take a medication called remicade for my arthritis and because it lowers my immune system I have to time this surgery just perfect. So I met the Dr once before and then he had to communicate with my rheumatologist and now I am going to meet him again.....I am not excited yet because I don't know what he is going to say at this meeting. Hopefully I will be signing papers....

I have surgery Jan 13 in Moncton and go for my pre op testing this coming Monday. Im absolutely dreading two weeks of shakes, but its required, so ill gladly do it. once I get more info about the diet, Ill let you know!
allyray I was feeling frustrated about my eating too and then I came to a conclusion. The surgery is the tool that will help with the "how much " I eat . My focus preop is on the "what I eat". I am working on kicking the unhealthy carbs and sugar and establishing the healthy eating habits I will need postop. So far it is working for me but I will admit that tonight I would love some chocolate or cookies or pizza. Guess I'll just drink more water instead.
I love posting on here, but I too, worry about getting annoying! I always have so many questions and thoughts, but you know how it is... Lol. Anyhow need some motivation. I'm so afraid this surgery isn't going to work since I can't seem to get a grip on my eating. Btw, I haven't had surgery yet. Just had my initial visit in Bathurst to meet the team a couple of weeks ago!

I know. I asked for some ideas of what people are eating post op and no one answered! :( maybe all the post ops are too busy getting ready for Christmas.
Sunnie you won't annoy anyone posting more often!
i try not to be too "noisy" lol i don't want to become annoying so i try to only comment on every couple or so postings
lol
Thank you so much. Today I started a pre diet prior to preop so I am being very mindful and hoping it will help when I actually do the boost. The hardest thing will be Christmas Day. But I know once I get past that I'm golden. :) new life and new beginnings excited to be active and energetic and buy smaller clothing. :-)
just as an FYI, i am 2.5 years out and still never get hungry. i get terrible head hungry and sometimes just grab things out of years of the habit but not actual hunger.
i get a painful stomach though if i dont eat every so often
