Hi rykat, Thanks for your reply. From what I understand we still have to go through the process of being on the waiting list, and jump through the hoops of getting approved...this can take quite a while...How long did your friend wait to have the province say they would pay for her to go to Ontario?

A friend of mine had her surgery in Ontario. She got Medicare to cover the cost of the surgery and only had to pay for the flights there, the dietician and psychologist appt and her hotels when she was there. And she only waited about six months to get in for the surgery.
I am sorry I was not able to go I had an emergency with one of my kids. I am so sorry and if we could do it again I will come!
WAAAHHHAAA I am so mad at myself that I missed this! I wasnt on the site for a bit
and forgot to check on the date! I hope you had a good time and I will have to wait until the next one to see you all!! I could cry boo hoo!!!!

Whatever your surgeon and nutritionist recommended as your pre-op diet is what you should follow. If they said Diabetic Boost, use that. The Diabetic and Regular Boost are quite different and I would not substitute the regular for the diabetic.
I am on the Boost diet right now,as I am going for surgery next week, but A good friend of mine asked me what is the difference between Boost with High protein compared to Diabetic Boost, I told her it was something to do with the sugar content. But she asked me if she used the regular high protein boost instead of diabetic boost, would she still be able to get her surgery done? And I don't know what to tell her. She has already bought boost but it is high protein. She is just waiting for her call, but I don't know what to tell her, and she can't return it so anyone, if you are reading this please help me .
I am not getting no reply back from anyone on this topic. I have made comments about this on other posts, but all anyone has told me is Boost with high protein had more sugar then Diabetic boost, which I already realized that. Just want my question asked about the surgery, and if anyone has just used the regular boost for their liquid diet instead.
So in order to have your surgery , you can only drink diabetic boost and water right? Not regular boost.
Tims' is just SO busy...it is hard to get 4-5 chairs together......we have used the stools at Robins before...they don't work either???....It will be hard to rearrange the place this late...I am sure someone will go to the wrong place, but if that is what we need to do, we can change it to Tims on the corner of North River Rd...that may be the ONE that we may get a break and not be full at 7pm....see you there at 7...
Hi Momma! Can I ask a favor...can we meet someplace else? Like Tim's in Sherwood? I can't fit in the chairs at Robins lol And the last two times I went it was very uncomfortable...my surgery hasnt happened yet! lol
