I am definitely going.  Personally, I think $35 is pretty cheap.  It includes the speakers (whom you know charge big money for appearances) and lunch.   I live in Henderson.  I WOULD LOVE to get together with others in Las Vegas.  I work Monday through Thursday for the City of Henderson.  I teach quilting on the 1st and 3rd Friday morning at a local Senior Center.  So I am available ANY SATURDAY or SUNDAY.  My husband works third shift and sleeps all day.  He wouldn't even miss me! Since I had my surgery in Dehli, India, I have no support group.  I depend on this website for all advice, nutrition information, and emotional support.  It has been a little rough to tell the truth.  You can e-mail me here and I would be glad to give you a call about getting together.  My work number is (702) 267-3200.  I answer as Traffic Maintenance Division so don't let that throw you.  I don't give out my home number because then the phone rings and wakes my sleeping hubby!   I don't believe in cell phones--too much of a distraction but I am at work from 6:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.

Is this for all weight loss surgery or just  gastric bypass pt.s? i had lapband done 3-21-07 by dr.atkinson,i never get ot meetings to late for me so never get to talk to anyone who has had weight loss surgery so would be nice to meet some.

Hi Lynda, would love to hear how you are doing as I have chosen the same surgeon that you use.  Hoping all is well.

PLEASE be VERY CAUTIOUS about choosing Dr. Rutledge or MGB.  I have a good friend that works in the surgery department where he performs many of his surgeries.  He has had numerous complications both during and after surgery.  Many of his patients are at great risk because of his surgical methods.  More than 30% of his scheduled cases are to correct mistakes he made in the original surgery or to deal with complications that have arisen as a result. Also, most of the doctors/surgeons speak very negatively of his practices. These types of problems are the reason that MGB was discontinued years ago.   PLEASE BE CAREFUL........BEST OF LUCK
