Hi everyone, My name is Margaret and I live in Las Vegas. I had RNY June 24, 2003 in San Diego with doctor Alan Wittgrove. He is wonderful and so is his staff. They come here every month and hold a support group meetings. How great is that? I have lost 101 lbs and feel wonderful. Yesterday i did a 5k walk for cancer awareness. I had no shortnss of breath, chest pain or even leg pain. That was a MAGIC MOMENT for me. I plan on making a special page in my memory book for this accomplishment. I never even thought about doing anything like this before i had my WLS. It was exciting to be among 12,000 people working towards the same goal. I will do it again. My doctor gave my life back to me and gave me a second chance. I always have had a weight problem since childhood and was an emontional eater. Now i just keep busy ans when the urge to graze comes, I try water first and usually that takes care of the craving. I am always available to anyone who wants to chat or needs encouragement.
