Topic: RE: looking for postop friends
Hi Lori,
Congrats on your wonderful loss! You should be very proud of your accomplishment. I can't imagine loosing so much weight so fast.
.
Sometimes after a large loss the body slows down and readjusts a little. So while you may not be seeing a loss on the scale you might still be loosing inches. Have you taken your measurements to see? You've still got along way to go in your "window of opportunity" so I'm sure you'll make it. If you ever make it over to Reno I'd love to meet you sometime. (Can't say I make it to Elko very often) Send me an email and we can exchange numbers if you like. Take Care and keep us posted on your journey.

Topic: Reno-wls-walk/ride support
Hi, I wondered if there are any wls post-ops (or pre-ops) interested in getting together to walk or bike ride a few times a week? I live in south Reno near the mall area if anyone is interested? Or are there any groups that already meet for walks that I could join? Reno has so many nice parks and areas to explore. I also thought it would be nice to meet some other post-ops in the area. Anyone interested in banding together for exercise support? Ski season is almost here and I'd really like to get in shape to do that again someday. Anyone else?

Topic: Please Help Me- Las Vegas
Hello all
My name is Paige Reiff, and I have been trying to get the surgery for the last 2 years. Finally my insurance company said they will pay 50%, which is wonderful, but I need to come up with the rest.
I have 2 sisters who have had this surgery ( in California ) as a matter of fact one of them had a body lift as well. They have both done so well. I am thrilled for them. I want this surgery more then anything, I want to finally feel healthy, and get the respect and opportunity I deserve. I am 35 years old, I have been heavy my whole life. I take care of my parents, my dad just turned 75 yesterday, and my mother is 65. My father had a stroke in April, so my days can be trying, and my mother is very heavy as well, she can hardly walk.
I need help rasing the money. Can all of us in Nevada band together and help each other, we need to create a database of people who need financial help, and if everyone donates $1.00, $5.00, or what ever they can..we can all get a second chance at life..
Please let me know if you can help me.. I need all the donations I can get.
Thank you so much for listening

Topic: RE: Please pray for my friend...
Hello Amy,
I understand today is Jimmy's surgery.. Good for him. I truly hope all is well. Please let us all know.
Question I have is: was it difficult to raise the money? I hope to have my surgery in December, I have waited 2 years, and now by insurance company will pay 50%, so I need to come up with the rest. I need some help as well, and I was wondering if you could help guide me as to what I need to do. I want this surgery more then anything, and it makes me sick to think that lots of people can not get the surgery only because of money.
Please help me.
Thank you,
Paige Reiff

Topic: Emoticons instructions from ObesityHelp.com
How to use emoticons in your posts:
When you are posting a new message, notice the blue box called "message emoticons". Click on the down-arrow in that box. You will see a drop-down box with characters on the left and the resulting images on the right. Type the characters on the left into your message. When this message is posted the characters will be replaced by the corresponding image. So, for example, for an angel graphic () you would type "".
We are taking steps now to make this an easier process... so look for enhancements soon.
