Hi there  I am just south of you I am in Monroe.  I had my VSG up in Dayton at Sycamore with DR. Schumaker His office is infront of Sycamore Hospital. There is a support group there second Wed of the month at 7p.  Feel free to message it would be great to talk with you.  I have lived here for like ever and I dont have many girlfriends.  Hope to here from ya

Hi There I am from Camden, and I had my LAP R n Y done on July 25th at Grandview in Dayton by Dr Clarey.  I go to the Bariatric Center by the Dayton Mall.  I need an alternative support group meeting to go to that is held in the afternoon as I do not like to drive at night.  I am 55 years old and weighed about 326 at my highest weight, but got down to about 301 before the surgery.  I am trying to figure out how to put my weight ticker at the bottom of my posts.  Might you have any suggestions as I have been "cutting and pasting" the codes for about an hour and they have not as yet shown up in my signature box. I am in Greenville and work in Dayton -  I totally understand being in a new area and needing someone to talk to.  There is a support group at Miami Valley Hospital (not real sure of the times) but that is where I had my surgery 3 weeks ago.  You can email and I will give you my number if you ever just need to talk.. Hi.  I'm in Centerville and just got word TODAY that my insurance company approved open RNY.  I won't get an official surgery date until Monday, but it looks like  it will be the week of August 27th!  Dr Rita Anderson is my surgeon. Everyone in her office -- in the whole practice, for that matter (one of the other surgeons in the same office has done several non-weight loss surgeries on me, and he is terrific, too) -- is great. I'm sorry you're having a tough time right now.  Being in a new place always makes things harder. Lora

I am from Trotwood (living in CT now) and was going to come home for my surgury. I was thinking about going to Grandview's program since my mom knows someone who used that program. Good luck!

4sakin, I live in Kettering and work in Dayton - downtown at the Kettering Tower.  I'd love to meet up any time to discuss!  I just joined the forum today.  I have my VSG surgery with Dr. Teel (seriousweightloss.org) on Sept 12, and my best friend (who lives in Dayton) is looking into LapBand with Dr. Teel now that she's got insurance again.
