6 weeks post-op and GAINING weight???

my back hurts too...i guess i shouldn't of said that,lol....huh? i'll be ok. i have felt this way for a couple of weeks. i'm just gonna go take a nap :).....i don't feel thristy at all.....

you are mal-nourished and probably severly dehydrated... you need to get soem IV fluids.   I am in the GTA... I have nothing else to do tonight... it is not a big deal, really!  Call me Jo-Anna...

i'm sitting here and keep saying "huh???" out loud. my cats think im weird,lol!!! i had a pudding a bowl of soup and a protien drink today. isn't that enough. i feel ok. not like i'm mal-nourished or gonna die... i don't get it...

Jo-Anna, if your urine is dar k that is a sign, you are cold and achy - other signs... no, 3 items is NOT enough - whether you are thirsty or not you need to be sipping soemthing every 5minutes!!!  I realize that it is soon that they have you booked for your endoscopy - but that is still nearly 3 days away and you need to take care of yourself.  It is your call, but I am here... my boyfreind needs the computer now, so I have to sign off - you call me and I'll come get you, no biggie!  905-319-3579 or 905-339-9732

I agree with Kelly, go to the ER, you need fluids. It is very important for your body and health. Please go now. ~ Bev

Hi;  This I know from all my dieting is that the body will eat the muscle and store the fat, that is why protien is so important so the body won't.  Another thing is regardless if you are not thirsty you must drink 64 fluid ounces of water a day!  You are dyhydrated and your body is in defense mode by hording the fluid you are giving it, hence you are retaining water.  If you keep this up they won't be able to operate they will have to admit you and give you fluids.  You run the risk of malnurishment etc.  So start sipping away and have another protien shake inbetween. Get cracking girl.  Another thing keep off those scales they are nothing but a disappointment at the best of times.

You have to hit your protein AND water goals in order to lose the weight. As long as you let yourself become dehydrated, you will not lose anything and it also explains the gain.

I really don't understand why you are being so stubborn about demanding the health care you obviously need.

You may feel fine and like you aren't going to die, but let me tell you this. Severe dehydration progresses quickly and you will die from it. I hate to scare you, but you may not make it to Wednesday if you don't get your ass to the ER and get some fluids into you!

I so agree with everyone else,  I've been trying to tell you Rose since a few days ago you need to urgent medical treatment.  Don't take these warning signs lightly - you are in need of help.  I do hope you seek the ER help. Hugs Janet
