Cheers! Whey Protein Coolers

Bulk Barn has PVL Whey protein coolers.  They are 80cals, 0 sugar and 20g protein in 600mls of water.  They come in Cran'Raspberry, Peach punch and Lemon Ice Tea flavours.  They're $40 per 2lb container.

A friend of mine tried the Peach punch one and said it was pretty good.  I just thought it's a great alternative to the shakes, especially with summer coming.

I know someone here posted about some that you could buy online but I'm happy we can get them locally!

Thanks for posting!  These will be a nice idea for the summer time - and a nice change from milk based drinks.  I

Actually it was a friend of mine in Whitby who found them.  Hoping to go tonight to see if the one on Innes has them.

Thank you, thank you. I ordered some stuff called Profect from the States and it is NASTY. A quick way to get 25g of protein, but you have to take it like medicine - the quicker the better.

I will definitely have a look.

Hi there

I had my surgery in the States and they were selling that Profect at the clinic. I tasted it there and it seemed alright(maybe they added something LOL). When I got home I couldn't stand the taste of the stuff  gaggggggg

MMMMMM....lemon iced tea.  Let me know what flavours you and your friend try.  I love the protein mixes that you add water to.  Like juice.....kinda... lol

isn't that only about 6 gr of protein for an 8 oz glass of water?
Doesn't seem very much?

Myself, I always add my protein to 800ml-1 litre of water despite what the directions say.  Especially if it is a product like this.  Not enough water= too strong a taste for me.  Also, my nutritionist says that I can count my protein drinks as part of my daily fluid intake, so I look at it as getting in my water and getting in some extra protein at the same time.  Careful though, if you have a lot of fluid and don't drink it fairly soon after mixing, then the protein denaturalizes and it is no good to you.  I had no idea until someone mentioned.  I think within 3 hours, the protein is toast.

I liked the iced tea one. The others were too sweet for me.

I also like Nectar protein powder. I found it at Popeye's supplements (in store), and I think GNC has it too. I'm not a big fan of "milky" protein shakes. I prefer the ones that are more like juice.
