It is a wonderful thing to do - it's one of those warm fuzzy things that make you feel great. Years ago my hair was so long I could sit on it, and I donated it.

WTG!!! my sister did that too last year but the place that she donated to was called "locks of love" http://www.locksoflove.org/donate.html I too had always thought that color/permed hair is not accepted but apparently you can donate :) would love to see pics of the new do
