What options do I have to get from Pearson to Hamilton.  We will rent a car in Hamilton for the few days before surgery, so want to get there as economically as possible.  Thanks for the help.

We flew into Pearson last year and we used Aerofleet to take us to Hamilton.  There were 3 of us in a nice luxury towncar and it was about $90.  You could check them out or just rent a car right at Pearson and drive to Hamilton.

Here is Aerofleet's website, they were quick to confirm the cost of the trip and showed up right on time as planned.

If you want economical there is always the GO train but the closest it goes to Hamilton is Aldershot then it's a bus to Hamilton I believe. It's very inexpensive.

Here's their site:

GO Transit to Hamilton is a pain - you essentially have to take the GO bus to Union Station or Square One and then either the train or express bus  (from Union - the bus is the best bet IF it's not rush hour) or a bus from Square One to Hamilton.

Your best way would be Airways transit - OR if there is more than one of you - just grab an airport limo...

stay away from Redcar... they are over priced and charge by the person... for hubby and I to go from Pearson to Guelph it was $200 +

why not just fly right into Hamilton?

I was told that West Jet flies from Wpg to Hamilton, direct.  I know that might not help much if you're coming from Thunder Bay, but that's what I was told.  I also think that the advice about your options are all good, so hopefully you'll find what works best for you.  Wishing you all the luck in the world!

Arriving on the 20th. We've decided to rent a car.  By the time you pay drop-off fees for a one-way drive, we might as well rent for the week.
