RNY bucket list!
Growing up I had always imagined my life being very different. Having 3 kids and being married and working full time has changed me physically and mentally. Gaining 85 lbs post babies changed my life in a very negative way which snowballed. My wants and golas pre fat were turned to wishes and dreams. NOW post RNY they have been turned back into goals!!!
Here are a few of mine:
-boating with my kids
-kick boxing
-re-joining my canoe club
-run a marathon (and one with my kids)
-ziplining
-hire a personal trainer and possibly do the police test
and many more.
I feel empowered again and that I can achieve what ever I want.
I would love to hear your bucket list and maybe be enspired to add to mine!!!
I love my RNY...love love love

I only have 1 thing in my list:
Have the confidence to go back to school. And I'm doing that in February.
Going back will change my life dramatically. I'll be doing something I love, something that matters. I won't wake up hating my job and in turn hating my life because of choices I couldn't control.

Good list Tango, thanks for sharing.
Some of my list has been achieved and some to be realized
Done-run 5k
Done-run 10k (though neither of these in a race because I have performance anxiety, but who knows if I'll get the courage)
Done-tried snorkling (this had nothing to do with my weight but had to do with fear of seeing under water, but because of losing the weight I am trying to go beyond some fears)
To do
-run half marathon distance
-run marathon distance
-run up a volcano- there is a volcano top that I have been to twice before in Nicaragua and both times I was stopping on my way up breathing hard even though I was just walking. I recently saw a picture of me at that volcano almost 2 years ago and told my granddaughter that I would be running up it next year when I am on my 3 month mission.
-run/walk/bike distance between my home and Nicaragua for a challenge. I'm at 2960 kilometers out of the 3553k
I think I'll have to think of more things on my list.
Thanks for making me think about how I can challenge myself.

Congrats on reaching your goal....
Since I am at my hightest weight right now and have been there for awhile my goals are simple
1. to fit into a movie/auditorium seat and not get stuck in it or have the arms stick into
me.
2.to go for a nice long walk with my kids
3.to sit at a booth in a restaurant instead of looking for the pull out chairs.
Now that I have decided to go and have WLS I want it like yesterday....to read about all these women who feel fantastic and love their new life just makes me want it more and on the other hand depresses me a little cus I'm not there yet and I'm 44, and how come I waited so long..feeling emotional and fat today....

I said this yesterday in another thread but its worth repeating. Fee
1) this spring I plan to go skydiving. I have always wanted to but felt I was to heavy and was self concuss
2) I would like to take scuba diving lessons.
3) I would like to run all 2579 steps to the top of the CN Tower
4) I want to get to a point that I "like" going to the gym instead of it being a chore
5) I would like to feel comfortable in a bathing suit instead of fearing it
Anyway thats some of the items of my bucket list......

In order to succeed, your desire for success should be greater than your fear of failure.
Surgery July 22, 2011 Starting weight 270 128 lbs lost Today's weight 142 lbs Ann
I love this idea of a RNY Bucket list....here's mine so far:
1. To finally get the courage to take up running/jogging...
2. To no longer have a panic impulse when booking an airline flight, wondering if I will "fit" in the seats.
3. To get married to Sean in a wedding dress that can in NO WAY be described as plus size.
4. To do a Couple's Zipline where you are attached together at the hip (Which is only possible if both person's weight combines is under a certain amount...I learned this in Sun City South Africa, where my heart sank when we couldn't do it).
5. To Scuba dive in the Carribean with Sean...which would require putting on a bathing suit or wetsuit and...neither are something I am comfortable with right now.

Surgery JAN. 19th, 2012 - Down 120 lbs & 75 inches @ my last Weigh in!!!!

Unlike many of you who gained your weight as an adult or post pregnancy, I gained mine when I was 6..and 7...and 8... I don't remember ever a time when I wasn't the heaviest in my peer group. That said, fat kids can't skate real well. So my post WLS bucket list includes learning how to ice skate. I think I'm going to like it.
I love all of your lists!!!
Tammy you made me cry...at work of all places! My goals were simple to start as well. All I want to do is canoe with my kids and not fear of tipping the boat. My family off road bike rides, not something I was able to participate in, but now I can.
Nana Liz you rock that volcano. I "used to run up the stairs in Greece in Santorini" as exercise in my 20's, I would love to do it again.
Simona school is amazing, I wish I could afford to go back myself.
My fellow durhamite Lynette...in a blink you will be here, on the bench making a "new" bucket list!
Happypants- first off Nice to see your face in your profile pic, and the CN Tower, me too, me too!
Tony- Tandem zip lining sounds like so much fun, Let me know when you go! And good luck with telling your mom.
And Cathie, just you wait...skating is funtastic. I have played hockey my entire life and I tell you... I just re joined a womens league and I feel like gretzky couldn`t stop me now!!
awesome awesome list!
