Jiggely bits!!

So I have been going to a personal trainer for 8 weeks now and love the results...how ever I am finding my jiggley bits ( my tummy) is getting in the way of my progression. Alot of the cardio exercises involve jumping jacks and high kness and I have to hold on to my tummy other wise the jiggley bits pull my pants down! I was running on the treadmill at work one day and my pants went down. Damn near fell off the the treadmilll! Thank god I as alone! So now I wear really tight work out pants and hold on once things get moving!
When can I apply for a panni? Would make things alot easier...

I think most recomend waiting about 2 years... that way you are done most of your loosing and should be at the max of the skin thats sagging.. If you apply now you may not be approved. If you have surgery after 1 year you may still loose in that second year and have more jiggly bits

there is an alternative.. for the time being. my bf lost 250 and he now wears compression suits. there are things similar for woman on the website as well that come attached with bras. it holds you in and you wont have the problem anymore.. he had to wear them because of the same problem. check it out underworks.com

Hello

A quick fix in the mean time is wear a tensor bandage around your belly,
it works like a belly bra and you control how tight you want it.

Or spanx.

Thanks

I hear ya!  I wear a spanx type body suit.
I was doing a muscle pump class and was on all fours and the ladies started to ooze out of the bra lol.  Wasn't pretty so got a sports bra and spanx!

some Plastic Surgeons like to see their patients maintain a weight for at least one year post-op..so that would be an entire year after your surgery

I am not sure what OHIP has in their guidelines for approval or screening as far as guidelines....

awww...you poor dear...sounds like almost the same incident when my skirt fell down at the gas station..luckily it was winter and I had a long coat on.

in athletic gear there are a lot of tops that help keep thing staying in place.just shop around..

I get a e-mail mailing from a company called  Athleta

fitness/youga, running etc are huge now, you should be able to find something in a sporting goods store...or online.

prior to surgery 323lbs....4 years post-op maintaining between 108- 114 lb loss.

life is AMAZING when you continue on the right path~!.  Use your surgeons gift to the fullest~!

I have not had surgery, but have much experience with this subject. The secret for me, was drawstring pants. There was no way I could run with out them or other things. Tie them tight and you can run, jump away and not worry about losing your pants!

Most surgeons won't do a Panni until you have reached your goal weight and maintain for a minimum of 6 months (that is probably the bare minimum). The skin will continue to adjust a bit even once you are at goal.
Check out some compression sports wear. Even Old Navy has some now and so does Joe Fre****hink. You can also look into some compression undergarments to wear under your regular work out wear.

I was at Costco this morning and thought of your post when I saw this new product in the clothing section  .

Flexees Fat Free Dressing by Maidenform Firm Control Tummy Toning Yoga Pant. It has a tummy control panel and built in boy short for 360 degrees of slimming. They were only $20.00.
I bought a pair to try but haven't had a chance to put them on yet. I will do that tonight when I get home from work.

Thanks everyone for some great suggestions. I heard about the yoga pants at Costco and plan to go tomorrow. I am also going to try and find tummy support band for running. I have seen them for pretty ladies, if not will try the compression suit. I hate feeling squeezed together but desperate times, desperate measures! I am now wearing a size smaller bra top to flatten the sisters, but my tummy is the worst. I put my back out yesterday and I swear it's from the "hang"... I have a physical next month so I'll have to make sure she notes my issues!
Thanks again ladies
