cholesterol and just checking in...

I am now going to a specialist since ta-dah, I have high cholesterol.  I called the clinic the other day just to see where it's at...was depressed, Linda called back to say that it's still about a year's wait...sigh...
Also, we were able to find a wonderful, loving home for all 5 of my guinea pigs!!! woo hoo!! they're loving their new home, we miss them a bit but know everyone is better off...
And...we picked up a puppy on the weekend!  A 5 month old shih-poo who we've named Lucy!  They are a hypo-allerginic breed and can say that I am no longer coughing, sneezing, dry-eyed or breaking into hives, so safe to say she's a keeper!!

Is the surgery a year away or the appt. with the specialist? Either way, that's a long time to wait

Enjoy the puppy in the meantime. I have 2 LhasaPoos. LOVE them both! I have pics of both of them on my profile page. You shouldnt have any issues at all with allergies with a ShihPoo. They're great that way!

the initial orientation!  I haven't received any phone call or letter and Linda said it would be a year from referral before I even saw that???  it is too long for me...

I haven't a decent pic of her yet to post, but once I do, I'll add it to my profile page for sure!!

O.M.G. A year just for orientation?? Wow! I couldn't imagine waiting that long. Any way to change centers?

I was 8 months from referral to orientations at Western. Patience takes on a whole new meaning during this process
