Finally on the move for Plastics
I heard back from him already today and he said that he was confident that I would get OHIP approval, and that he was proceeding with the application. I believe that anything over and above the panni is self-pay, but I have no idea what the cost is. I guess it depends on what is done, so I won't know until I have a consult to discuss it. If I haven't heard from them by end of June, I should call back. Very impressed so far.
Had RNY surgery July 22/11, St. Joe's Hamilton, with the awesome Dr. Scott Gmora. Had abdominoplasty August 2/13, Scarborough, with equally awesome Dr. Michael Kreidstein.
Wow, that was fast. Thank you for sharing and all the best to you. I haven't even had the WLS yet so I am getting way ahead of myself! My surgery is July 17th.I think I'll not worry about a "panni" for a good year or more. I was just "curious"!
Referral Date: May 29, 2012; TWH Orientation: June 19,2012; Nurse Practitioner Group Session and Social Worker Initial Assessment: September 25, 2012; Nurse Practitioner One-on-One and Psych. Assessment: January 18, 2013; Met with surgeon: March 8, 2013; Pre-Op scheduled: June 20,2013; Surgery scheduled: July 17, 2013! Surgery Completed!
