For the smokers...
I believe at TWH, when I went to orientation, they told us you have to be "smoke free" for 6 months before they would do the surgery. It has taken me a year to get from Orientation to having my surgery booked for this July 17th, so possibly they would take you if you can quit by your Orientation session. They are very serious about this. Good luck to you. You can do it! I did.

yah, you have to be smoke free for 6 months prior to surgery.. and alcohol free 2 months..
