For me, it's simple. Any place that does not sell plus sizes. I want to go in, buy what I want and then let management know I used to be a plus and if they had half an ounce of business knowledge, they would also service the plus size market.

I don't have any specific stores that I want to shop in - my biggest goal is to not HAVE to shop at just Walmart, Pennington's, and Additionne Elle. I like those stores, don't get me wrong - I just want to not HAVE to shop there. :)

H&M for me, i too agree with the above answers completley though! I won't fit in anything at Penningtons anymore (I am a size 10 -12 and somehow still shrinking), and don't miss it at all, i have found that their clothes got cheap, the fabric got thin and the buttons (on most of the clothes) are held on by like two threads!  I love H&M their largest size is a 14, they should start having bigger sizes but I doubt companies like that ever will, too bad they could make a lot of money....

H&M used to carry plus sizes (or at least up to size 18) but intentionally stopped creating their products in larger sizes as "fashion was not for larger sizes" or some other equally discriminatory reason.

Seriously?  H&M too?  I knew that the dick who runs Abercrombie and Fitch said something like that, but didn't realize H&M are on the same bandwagon.  It's one thing to cater only to "regular" sizes, another thing entirely to make insulting statements about people who are not in the size range you carry.

Really? That is sad, and for A&F i wouldn't wear their clothes for free, and the i guess CEO of A&F if not even a "looker" himself! I guess I may find a different store now, since there are so many to choose from!

Thanks for the info!

I don't really like shopping, although I've been doing quite a bit of it lately...

Basically, I'd like to just be able to walk up to a sale rack that has normal sizes on it and grab something off of it and have it fit.  That would be nice.  I'm getting a slight taste of that now in some stores, like Old Navy.  Looking forward to being able to do it in other ones, too.  There's nothing quite like going shopping with a friend and having her browse the $5 rack and find stuff, and then I have to go to Addition-Elle and pay $30 for exactly the same type of shirt in a larger size.  Or $50-80 for jeans while the same style in smaller sizes go on sale racks for $20.  It burns my butt.  You can't tell me it costs THAT much more to make it in a larger size.

I'd have to say I agree with the answers, about just being able to walk into -any- store and being able to shop the discount racks. Even in Wal-mart I find that the "Regular sized" people clothes still have a little more variety to them.

Anthropologie- though I can fit in it now, my problem is that I can't afford to buy a whole lot in that store! LOL
