You are pre-op before surgery, and after surgery you are post-op. Patts is preoperative testing - you do an ECG and get blood taken, talk to a nurse and anasthesiologist

Thanks for the info, I do not have a surgery date yet, I did have 11 viles of blood taken on the 17th of September and a ECG done at Dr. Glazier's office on October 23rd so is this different from Patts?

Yup, they do testing at the very start of all your appointments - what you had done, then they do it again right before surgery (usually about a week before) to be sure that nothing has changed over the months you have been doing other appointments and that you are in good health for surgery

Orientation May 2013, Surgeon( Dr.Lindsay) July 17, Rescheduled RN/NUT/ SW and got lucky with a cancellation July 18, Dr.Linsday 2nd appt Aug.19, Dr.Lindsay was overbooked switched to Dr.Starr on Oct.8, Surgery Dr.Starr Nov.8,2013
