When are we going to see you again soon!?  So good to hear from you.  You're right, calling out for help is not easy - in particular, for me when I'm stuck in a moment I can't seem to get out of.  Thank you dearly for your well wishes and let's both fight the good fight of getting healthy again.

I know how you feel, the urges are back for me. They scare me. The only difference between before surgery and now is that I cant eat all I want but the feelings are there. I will be there for you Mags. I need support too.

Nicole,  It's real nice to hear from you.  I hope you and Jason are doing well.  The obstacle I could not see when I was writing my pity party or call for help what have you, is the fact that our days are different than the one before normally.  Mine was a two week funk or rut/not caring about myself too much and losing sight of goals, giving up my replacement addictions were not easy after a week or two. Feelings DO pass, we can all attest to that I'm sure.  For instance,  I woke up today and felt differently from all of the well wishes and encouragement from those I do and do not know but yet cared about me.  That's the beauty of having a community like this.  I went through this once before and kept it to myself and it it lasted WAY, WAY too long because I DIDN'T reach out for help because I was too proud.  :-/  It got me nowhere but STUCK and held back unnecessarily.   I hope to see you around soon.  Thanks for taking the time to care. Please read the responses from my post and grab some ideas from those there who helped me see a bit of light.   Magnolia xoxox

Well now Mags, that was a good 'exercise'. How do you feel? Exhausted? Less burdened perhaps? Relief after the venting perhaps? I hope so because your reaching out has the effect of cleansing you of ALL that stuff. You know the stuff you shouldn't do. That was yesterday, but when we are stressed it's easy to fall into the familiar (the stuff from the past you shouldn't do). Well I don't want you to know that familiar anymore. Let's make a new familiar even if it's boredom. I'd rather you be bored to the nth degree than go backwards. Today is a new day. Get ready to be bored .... or read a good book. Sweetheart do the best that you can today and always. Dennis

Haha Dennis, you know this process all TOO well and called me out!  Yes, I do feel a bit lightened now actually.  A vent perhaps, yes indeed.  You're right - I DO know the stuff I shouldn't do.  You are reconfirmed to me that yes, tomorrow IS a new day.  If God wanted to create each day all mushed together, he wouldn't have created it in 6 days (plus +1 for resting).  New mornings create new days for new fresh air and when I am able to go for my rides or out in nature, I will be able to experience it again first hand.  Looking very forward to it.  You are an inspiration in word and deed my friend.  Mags xoxox
