Question for you Old Heads
Norm I admitt I have been guessing about my protein goals. I have just started using nutri mirror so I am getting a better hang of it again. I have not done the salad thing but that would be a good idea.
I eat 6 times per day
I drink one protein shake
Have not been at the gym since surgery but it is time to go back. I would love to get a copt of the work out you are using. I feel I need guidance. I want the biggest bang for my time I have very little of it
Thanks

Norm, would you float me Mike's guidelines as well please. I remember him giving them to you but can't find the old post here. I've been doing the couch to 5k but not seeing the bang for my buck w/the junk in my trunk. Thanks.

Journaling - I cannot stress the value in this little tool. Im not very far out - (almost 16 months) - but I still journal every single day. On days or weeks when I am particularily stressed out and know I am eating more than I should I pull out the old journals from the earlier months and revert back for a couple of weeks until I get back to where I need to be (that means both body and mindset).
Wish I could help you more.

Nicole,
I'm almost as far out as you and I eat about 1400 - 1500 calories a day when I'm working out on a regular basis. While I'm still recovering from my plastics and not exercising as much I'm down to about 1300 but most of it is protein and veggies so it's quite a bit of food.
I would do as Norm suggested and add veggies to you can feel full and get little calories. My favorite snack during the week is 2.25 oz of baby carrots with a little peanut butter. I get veggies and protein at the same time - and it's good.
Once you start getting back to the gym you'll see a drop in weight so hang in there and try to start exercising again.
