Why is everybody so hung up on bartix or whatever. I had my personal physician help me with my research and there are other incredible doctors working out of local hospitals with excellent statistics that can be in-network and offer closer support. I ended up with Dr Holland who`s stats are just about as good as they get.

You are right, there are others and you were blessed to have an informed physican, you would be surprised how many aren't or are not for this surgery still. . . Barix is among the best and all their focus is Bariatric surgery, their staff is geared to and surpasses what many other places are like in terms of knowing just how to handle patients with this sort of surgery.  Some hospitals are not so knowledgeable and I have heard stories of people being left with little or no care post surgery.  So while there are others, why not go with a place that is totally geared to accommodate what you are there for and therefore prepared for just about anything. . .
