Thank You Barix Support Group Folks
Richard,
It was great meeting you (we "newbies" have to stick together!).
One suggestion I meant to toss your way for the next couple of full-liquid weeks: SOUP (the warmth is wonderful, as those cold protein shakes can get boring). Health Choice cream of chicken has very few pieces in it (which you strain out) and is delicious. You can also get french onion soup, puree the pieces of onions really well (so they go through the strainer)... and I found a really tasty organic cream of portabello mushroom soup, which needed no pureeing. I ended up doing a mixture of the mushroom and some of the french onion, which was really yummy!
And if you haven't found Greek Yogurt yet - get the PLAIN and you can add 1/4 cup of it to your soups to really give it a protein boost, while making the soup creamier.
And DON'T make the mistake I did of adding Any Whey to the soup when it's too hot. It curdled and was truly awful. If you absolutely must add Any Whey to a soup (try the yogurt instead), heat the soup (but don't OVER heat it), then slowly stir in the any whey when the soup is eating temp. That might work.
Have fun!
Karen
