Met an eight year post-op yesterday

I was at an all day "family" party yesterday and met someone who is an eight year post op. It was so nice talking to her, and hearing her story. It was very encouraging. She was telling me that when she went through her surgery (lap RNY) that there weren't many support groups and she pretty much had to wing it on her own. Made me realize how much I appreciate all the support and information You all give. Thank You Belinda

I agree, the support around now is top notch. Even when I had my surgery almost 5 years ago, there wasn't much as far as support and information goes. I did alot of my early out post op by trial and error. And have learned more in the last year than I ever knew before.

Yes she is still successing and doing very well. She has lost and maintained about 126 lbs.
