I have been to the Pocono's and back already today, so this is WAY late...but here it is all the same.

Any one exercising today?  Anyone want to brag about meeting a new fitness goal??

I'm buying a pair of roller blades tomorrow.

Then I will come here and brag about how many bones I break in one fell swoop

Keep us up to date on the roller blading.   I've been trying to find a place that gives lessons.  Used to be one by Fairmount Park but can't seem to find it now.  RB's are a goal of mine.   Talk about old dogs and new trix.   Trix are for kids...

I think I will let you win the "bone breaking contest!"  Good luck with that LOL

Hope your visit to the Poconos went well and everything is where it should be!!

I guess my big fitness goal for this week is that I started doing the full Curves circuit on Monday and had a good work-out Monday and Wednesday. I'll be going again tomorrow night - tonight is a bike night - going to see if I can go 10 miles. Unlike Pam there is no fear of breaking any bones, just a good sweat!!

No exercise today. Tonigt is a pedicure and then girls night out. so unless elbow bending is exercising, I'm on a break tonight.

I will brag however. I have taken up running and I LOVE it. (well never the first 15 minutes, but once I get past that I'm good to go)

My first run was 1.3 miles last week and now I'm running 2.5+ miles almost every day! I am addicted and fully outfitted to the point I look like I'm a pro (iPod, brand new Nike Airs, Nike Plus gizmo in my shoe)

My goal is to run the Broad Street 10K next year.

That's AWESOME!!!

I tried running last year - stuck with it for a good 3-4 mos...and I hated every minute of it.  I kept at it thinking I would like it...then I got bronchitis...and couldn't do it for a time and used that as my "escape route" out.  I have no doubt you'll do your goal next year!

I hit a mini goal this morning.   4X around my development.   First time I ever did that and the only reason I did/could was because I FINALLY walked while listening to music.   Who Knew??  I finally listened to the people that said it made it sooo much easier and GUESS WHAT??   THEY WERE RIGHT!!!   I even lost count of my laps at one point.  I think I'll scarf hubby's nano now that I know, morning radio isn't what it used to be.    6X is a 5k and I'll do that by next week.  Ultimate goal is 5k a day and then working on some of that being running.   Don't think with these hangers I'll ever be able to run a 5k.  It's painful enough walking.  Feels like I'm toting a small child on my shoulders.
